Yes, you might be wondering what on earth I mean by this but don’t worry, all will become clear. This month I was lucky enough to be a part of a training session with Lance Burdett from WARN International. For those of you that may not have come across Lance before, his company delivers consultation and coaching on some very specialised topics including: managing challenging people, crisis intervention, critical event durability and crisis communications.

Lance’s journey is a fascinating one, with 22 years of police experience, Lance has worked in senior management positions leading and developing teams in: the 111 emergency call centre, the protection squad, intelligence management and emergency responders.  He’s even been in the SAS. A pretty incredible background.

More recently Lance has specialised in suicide intervention after suffering a very serious bout of his own personal depression, which he openly talks about here. This CD focuses on enhancing your communication, something you’ll know from our previous CD interviews is so important when you’re running a business and dealing with customers. Some may call these clever sales techniques, Lance will probably call it something different but whatever it is, you’ll get a lot out of it if you listen.
