Revelation of Sound is pleased to present Ness with the exclusive mix for our channel. Ness is a dj and producer born and raised in Sardinia, acknowledged for his style over a decade of music with a background in sound engineering and many years of research and fine-tuning. He gradually developed a distinct technique with a strong focus on atmosphere combined with hypnotic rhythms. Having performed in some of the most relevant clubs and festivals around the globe, he steadily releases music and collaborates with several renowned techno labels within the scene. With experience as label manager through the years with partnership on Mono Records and The Gods Planet, he later established his spin off project label Ness Reworks in 2018. Ness music and dj set are well accepted and defined as an exploration of wide range of deep hypnotic techno and ambient soundscapes.

Today we celebrate the Winter Solstice in the Northern hemisphere. A time of year where we have the longest of nights followed by shortest of days. In many ancient cultures this marks the symbolic death and rebirth of the sun and for many of us this midwinter day represents a shift, the end of a cycle and beginning of a new one, where we're going towards brighter times.

We'd like to host our celebration and final chapter of the Navigare Audio podcast for 2021 together with our dear friend and brother NESS from Italy. Visualize yourself barefoot on the psychedelic dancefloor together with your friends, turn on the volume and tune in to this set from this years edition of Modem Festival.

As part of our celebration we'd like to announce that we have the privilege and honor to release the second album of Ness on Navigare Audio in the beginning of 2022 and some of the tracks from the album are included in this journey. Enjoy!

Βorn, raised, and based in Patras, Greece, Alexskyspirit’s experience with the decks started in the early 00s in his hometown clubs and bars, blending his early influences of dark, progressive house with psychedelic trance. As he gradually honed his production skills and started shaping his musical identity, he shared the stage with some well-established names over those years, such as Edit Select, Keith Carnal, Charlotte De Witte, Dax J, Oxia, and Robert Dietz. His self-released and label-released material caught the attention of respected individuals from a broad techno spectrum, the likes of Amelie Lens, Joris Voorn, Abstract Division, Fabio Florido, Pan Pot, Deepbass, Ness, Claudio PRC, and Blazej Malinowski, who played his tracks on various occasions. Finally, this can also be a perfect example of how his sound shaped where he stands as a producer now.

his focus and sonic environments are weaved and led by his affiliation with the coldest season of the year, the echoes and the grey scenery during rainfall, the colourful and noisy urban landscape of the city traffic, and the impactful, awe-inspiring creations of architectural nature. His sound has a light, gentle approach combined with minimal elements of hypnotic ambience, distorted textures, and cinematic pads to conjure an aesthetically-pleasing yet deep atmosphere.

Andrea Zapata is a producer and DJ based in Lima, Perú. She develops in the deep and hypnotic techno genres as well as experimental and their subgenres. 

She always offers an unpredictable ride with a fairly linear rhythm with quirky sounds that create a hypnotic atmosphere along with very subtle changes that manage to bring the listener into a deep journey. She finds inspiration in her feelings and every time she leaves her daily life and manages to have contact with nature.  

Andrea has released an EP ‘Intuitium’ for KVLTÖ Records and has been part of various artists releases in records such as Lindeluft, Orbitando, Indefinite Pitch, Accent Records, Aurora Mistica, and Dorian.

Hod is a concept that arises from the belief in the liberating power of sound, which seeks to generate contrast with marked percussive elements and deep harmonies consistent with the polarity and the existing energy balance, balance that involves the relationship with the natural elements and the use of these as tools of artistic expression from the spiritual, symbolic and expressive force of each sound, of each element, of each frequency that gives the artist the ability to interpret a story that transcends the surreal interpretation. Emerging from the city of Medellin (Colombia), with particular interest in contemporary sound, specifically within electronic music through techno, ambient and experimental sound. Mateo Hurtado creates hypnotic techno and experimental music. Inspired by the surrealist movement, obscure symbolism and ritualistic incantations, his music seeks to invoke the hidden, impossible images buried in the unconscious.

Be it as a DJ or live performer, his intuitive approach seeks to overcome conventional boundaries of the genre, sending the listener on an ever spiralling journey through polyrhythmic drumwork imbued with otherworldly melodies and dronelike, shifting atmospheric soundscapes.
