In Disguise

I've definitely been one to blame for being too focused on my job and in consequence some of my relationships have fallen apart. I find it really hard to balance life and career.

I know a lot of people who are so career focused as well. That's cool and fine I still think you can be unwavering and fierce towards your career but relationships will break when you don't balance time for the people closest to you and that's definitely happened to me.

This is a song for those who are facing any type of grief, either small scale or large. 
Facing any type of loss sucks, be it breaking up with the person you love, getting turned down from that job you wanted or losing a loved one. 
It can often feel confusing, and looking up the steps of it on the internet don't help because it seems as if step 4 last an eternity, when in reality all we need is each other to get us through.

This one is a little deeper than most, but I hope you all enjoy my new tune "Step 5 (Acceptance)".

Latin was my first love, and music is my second. I've utterly fallen for those of the soulful, creative, inspiring and inciting kind. The one composed with heart and soul, the one performed with passion and aplomb. Searching for a way to express my love for and enthusiasm about music, I've found twitter is a decent and effective place to do so, yet given my wordy nature 140 characters one day simply didn't suffice to promote the music I enjoy anymore. This is how my music blog - carpe carmina - came into being (a heartfelt thank-you goes out to my favourite UK band High/Low for the encouragement to start writing about music, to my all time favourite band for so many years by now, Midnight Hour, for making me realize my affection for music and my wish to help those artists in whose talent I believe in, and to all those people who read my blog, who recommend and submit music for it).
