This is the first track from the brand new Silent Sleep album to be released. The song was recorded in Whitewood Studios, Liverpool by Robert Whiteley and produced by Robert Whiteley and Silent Sleep. Very beautiful backing vocals provided by Adéle and Sian from the incredible band, Bird, and the lovely and supremely talented chaps Dan Croll and Andy Donovan.

This is a live recording of 'Kerosene' by Joseph Lofthouse (https://www.facebook.com/JosephLofthouseOfficial) Off the album 'The 4&2'. Im currently mixing the album and it should be out in the summer! There will be a short film containing 4 of these live sessions to accompany its launch! Mic's used: Neumann BCM104 on vocals, Behringer C2 on guitar and a stereo pair of Rode NT1A's in the room. Recorded live on location in East View Cottage, Ravenstonedale, Cumbria.

Joseph Lofthouse - Kerosene (The 4&2 live sessions)

Latin was my first love, and music is my second. I've utterly fallen for those of the soulful, creative, inspiring and inciting kind. The one composed with heart and soul, the one performed with passion and aplomb. Searching for a way to express my love for and enthusiasm about music, I've found twitter is a decent and effective place to do so, yet given my wordy nature 140 characters one day simply didn't suffice to promote the music I enjoy anymore. This is how my music blog - carpe carmina - came into being (a heartfelt thank-you goes out to my favourite UK band High/Low for the encouragement to start writing about music, to my all time favourite band for so many years by now, Midnight Hour, for making me realize my affection for music and my wish to help those artists in whose talent I believe in, and to all those people who read my blog, who recommend and submit music for it).
