When Sunshine Coast reggae six-piece, Bearfoot were ready to put together their latest single, the choice was clear; pack up the van, head to Tanuki Lounge in Brisbane's West End, and get producer Paul Bromley to work his magic.
The result? A monster of a reggae track that bounces along, smiling while flipping the bird at the establishment. 'Impolite' solidifies Bearfoot's position firmly in Australian psychedelic reggae, with swirling layers of keys, trumpet and dubby guitar over the steadfast groove.
Following on from their debut single, 'Babylon' back in February, 'Impolite' is an older track that was re-worked and moulded into a new beast of a song that from the first chopped guitar chord through to the tripped-out change and closing with the horn melody, has you firmly in its grips.

Resurrectors are a 9 piece dub reggae band from Redfern, Sydney comprising an eclectic mix of local talent as well as musicians originally from Barbados, South Africa, England and New Zealand.

The band features some of Sydney’s finest musicians. Cameron Deyell plays in Bertie Blackman’s and Inge Lilestrom’s bands. Jon Pease tours nationally in Paul Mac’s band. Declan Kelly has released a solo album which was quite successful in its own right. Peter Firth is also a permanent member of Kingtide.

Healing is the band’s debut album and has already won them some talented fans:
The album features a bonus remix of the title track by Fat Freddy’s Drop producer and main man DJ Fitchie.

Resurrectors are an amazing live and will be touring extensively on the back of the album. Launches planned for Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and Byron Bay. Already they have supported top dub acts including Fat Freddy’s Drop and the Black Seeds.

The album combines great songwriting and soulful performance with a social conscience and in doing so delivers a very powerful and compelling musical message. This is great music made by people living in Australia and singing about Australian subjects. The band tap into a rich and soulful tradition whilst presenting their sound in a current and contemporary style.

Jeune artiste originaire de L'Ouest de La Reunion, "Pix-L" est né d'une mère Réunionnaise, et d'un père Mauricien, musicien qui le berce dès son plus jeune âge au rythme du Jazz de la Soul et du Rythm' N' Blues, avant de lui apprendre à chanter quelques années plus tard.

C'est dans la ville du Port à l'âge de 11 ans qu'il s'intéresse à la culture hip/hop et écrira ces premiers textes en s'inspirant des sons de "Eminem", "Cypress Hill" et autres Rappeurs Américains.

En 2005 il déménage dans le Sud à La Plaine des Cafres,  dans les hauteurs de l'île, il se familiarise rapidement à cette environnement en contraste avec sa vie sur la côte Ouest.

Il y découvre la culture reggae, et commence à effectuer ses premiers enregistrement chez lui.

C'est avec "Mighty Lion", ami de lycée,  qu'il forme le groupe "RasK" en 2007, et qu'ils enregistrent une trentaine de titres ensemble et effectuent leurs premières prestations live sur les scènes du lycée.

Ce groupe aux influences Reggae, DanceHall, sera agrémenté d'une touche hip/hop à l'arrivée du Mc "Kérosène" un an plus tard.

Ensemble ils enregistrent de nouveaux titres au Home Studio de Pix-L, commence à évoluer dans les Sound Systems et le milieu Underground local, et commence à se faire un nom via internet en faisant circuler certaines de leurs productions.

Jusqu'à ce jour Pix-L se produit fréquemment, en solo ou avec le groupe "RasK", sur les scènes des Sound Systems locaux tel que "Lightning Sound", "Community Sound", "StudioLaKaz" et "Ghetto Prod Foundation".

Sa voix au tonalités Jamaïcainescaracterise  sa musique engagée dans laquelle il mêle avec brio deux cultures, celles des Caraïbes et de l'Océan Indien.

Il ne laisse pas indifférent le public venu en nombre lors de la première édition du "Reggae Unity Festival" en Avril 2012 à la Ravine St Leu, ou il joue en première partie du légendaire groupe Jamaïcain  "The Congo's" ,  avant de se retrouver sur scène, lors du "Kolosse Festival" et au TEAT plein AIR de Saint Gilles le 10 novembre 2012 aux côtés de l'incontournable artiste réunionnaise "Malkijah" et OSB crew de l'ile Maurice.

A ce jour il continue de diffuser, via internet, ses nouvelles compositions en solo ou avec  "RasK" et multiplie les apparitions sur scènes.

Pix-L prépare, actuellement, un projet en solo au studio Inity I Records et un single / clip Reggae intitulé " Alé aou" dont la sortie est imminente...Alors rester à l'écoute.
