LA-based producer, @DUCKY, releases her three-track EP, 'Lost Angeles', today on NEST.

Since her early teenage years, DUCKY has been fully immersed in club culture. She worked the door and started off her DJ career in San Francisco with the help of a fake ID before dropping out of high school at 17 and heading to NYU where she continued working on her own music. Over the last few years, she’s built a catalog of original works and remixes which mirror her influences in grime, techno, experimental, ambient, footwork and more, with her original productions often featuring her own distinct vocals.

This year, following a move to LA and a recent EP release through Parisian imprint B.YRSLF DIVISION, DUCKY continues to shape her sound with a new EP on NEST. The upcoming three-track Lost Angeles pack is a scenic stroll through winding four-four environments, opening with a hazy title track, followed by the drizzly and hypnotic "Rain Dance", and eventually landing at the crisp foothills of “Winter Song” — a track whose expressive aesthetic could easily fit within the setlists of artists like Jamie xx and Four Tet.

Paper Planes is a brand new power duo from the UK made up of Gavin Harris and Simon James. Gav is one half of Bristol-based Drum & Bass outfit, Loadstar, and Si makes up one half of the cinematic bass duo, Delta Heavy, but together, the two friends, collaborators, and RAM Records label mates explore their passions for more house-centric productions with Paper Planes.

Today, NEST is honored to put out the debut release from the newfound project, as Si and Gav deliver two low end-heavy house records in "Watch It Bounce" and "Wavey". The A-side is raw and chunky; a rough, bass-y track strapped with a fun vocal sample. "Wavey" follows in similar fashion, pairing up wonky leads with growling bass stabs for the second jab in a powerful one-two punch.
