When one's musical influences span from J Dilla to Squarepusher to VGM, there's a solid chance that whatever comes out on the other end is going to fall under the 'experimental' designation. Such is the case with South African producer, Chee, who initially came onto our radar last year thanks to the incessant support from the bass music innovators known as Noisia. The Dutch trio, whom Skrillex has consistently attributed to his own growth in production, have featured Chee's forward-leaning, bass-heavy productions in numerous episodes of their weekly radio show, as Chee's glitchy, downtempo style fits in well amongst folks like Ivy Lab and Hybris as well as Noisia's own records.
