A clear nod to the now-disbanded BROCKHAMPTON, this track was one of the few songs with a plan from the start. Novuh had the title in a bar saved on his phone for the longest time, and it eventually found its way into the studio (shoutout Crowd Noise). I knew from the beginning that NOTHAMPTON needed to exist — and that it needed to feature everyone.

The only reason Twohead isn’t on it? I didn’t want him to show up the rest of the crew with his elite bars.

Originally, the beat had a grimier, trap-heavy feel — but as the album took shape, it felt too aggressive. So during what ended up being our final group session at the studio, I scrapped it entirely. Everyone re-recorded their verses over a new instrumental. No hook. Just bars. It became a true cypher.

4EYES closes the track perfectly with lines like “close the curtains” and “Nesty done chopped the tape like a surgeon” — fitting, since I was literally performing surgery on the session as he wrote that.

NOTHAMPTON is the final track on the album, and it feels like the right send-off — a powerful, collective statement from the artists who shaped this project.

This whole thing feels like sending a kid off to college. I love it deeply, but get out of my house so I can start the next chapter. (I’m 22, no kids, didn’t go to college, so I may be off — my parents can fact-check.)
