I often wondered what made some relationships work and some not. I could not figure out why some of the couples I know where stuck like glue and others not so much. Well I asked my friends on Facebook to give me their thoughts. I took what they gave me and wrote this song. This was a lot of fun to write, but I didnt want it to be a downer or a crying in the beer song so I looked for just the write tempo, beat and sound. Love is a powerful emotion. It fills us with happiness, it knows no bounds, it drives us with purpose. Even with all of the positives, I remember the relationships I had as a young man and how the uncertainty of it all made me stress out wanting to know what is she doing, does she still care about me, and when will she call? You see the not knowing, not being sure of the others feelings makes us crazy. I am sure you remember a time when you had similar experiences. Once you go through it, you develop trust, strength, and commitment. I call it The Pain In Love and it is this pain that will bind us or break us. I’ve had alot of high drama relationships, and all of them ended badly. I never had the chance to say what I really wanted to say during the break up. I was brought up to try and be nice, so I never got the chance to really say what was bottled up inside. Well I got the idea to write a song that did what I was unable to do at the end of those high drama relationships. They all ended badly and if I had said what was on my mind it would have been worse. The song uses the analogy of music, newspapers, and TV to put all the cards on the table. Once you listen to it you will know what I mean.
