Rafael and Mishell unite for the first time on Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations with ‘Naughty’—a three-track package dropping on 25th April, featuring collaborations with British-Persian DJ/producer Nariman and vocalist Eliza Legzdina. 

Hotly tipped DJ/producer Rafael has been making his mark on labels like DFTD, Realm, and Maccabi House, including his recent team-up with Sapian for his Collecting Dots debut, ‘What What’. Now, linking up with fellow countryman Mishell, fresh from ‘Cantina’ on Get Physical Music, and ‘Lightweight’ on Diynamic, whose psychedelic take on House and Indie Dance continues to fuel both his productions and his event brand, Mess. Together, they make their label debut on Jones’ Hot Creations with ‘Naughty’, bringing a fresh burst of House energy as they blend their distinctive styles. 

“We came into the studio with no plans, no references—just good energy and a jam session that turned into something we’re really proud of. The idea was to blend tech-house grooves with big room vibes and a subtle ravey touch, and somehow… it just clicked. This EP marks a meaningful moment for us, not only because it’s our first time producing together, but also because throughout this process, we became really close friends. Releasing it on a label we both love and respect makes it even more special.” - Rafael / Mishell 

Rafael and Mishell open ‘Naughty’ with ‘Naaa’, where a punchy kick drum leads the way, building the groove with sharp stabs and twisting percussion. The energy shifts as ‘Naughty’ takes over, blending a menacing edge with a dynamic flow, as techy elements cut through a gritty bassline and warped snippets take you on a trip. To close, Rafael calls up Nariman—who has graced iconic venues like London’s Fabric, Brooklyn Mirage, and Glastonbury Festival—for ‘Another Dimension’, where a fusion of attitude, rich sonics, and energy meet, while Eliza Legzdina’s smooth vocals flow seamlessly throughout.
