ABSTRACT

This paper introduces a novel model of cosmological structure based on a time-symmetric twin universe hypothesis, integrated with a recursive framework for entropy, information, and observer-participation. 

We propose that our universe is one half of a dual system, where time, entropy, and information flow mirror across a singular origin. 

Within this model, black holes are not endpoints but thermodynamic inversions, preserving information through structured collapse. 

Furthermore, we extend the framework into a cognitive layer, positing that consciousness itself emerges from recursive entropy compression under energetic constraints. 

The convergence of cosmology, thermodynamics, and information theory yields a falsifiable, mathematically coherent structure for understanding the origin, evolution, and recursive nature of both physical and cognitive systems. 

This is not a metaphor—it is a model.

1. INTRODUCTION

Modern cosmology rests on a tension between observed asymmetries and assumed symmetries. While the laws of physics are largely time-reversible, the universe exhibits a strong arrow of time, defined by entropy increase. The low-entropy boundary condition at the Big Bang remains an unsolved problem.

In response, recent theoretical proposals suggest the universe may not be singular, but bilateral. Time-symmetric cosmologies posit a mirror universe evolving backward in time from the same origin, resolving entropy asymmetries through global symmetry. Among these are CPT-symmetric models (Boyle, Finn, Turok), Penrose’s Conformal Cyclic Cosmology, and quantum gravity approaches linking black holes to white holes.

This paper extends such models through a recursive cosmology hypothesis. It draws from core principles of thermodynamics, symmetry, and information theory to frame:
	•	A dual-universe system evolving from a shared singularity,
	•	Collapse (black holes) as reversible operators,
	•	Entropy compression as a condition for both identity and memory,
	•	And observer-participation as a symmetry-preserving structure.

    - We unify these under a single hypothesis: Reality is the recursive resolution of energetic constraint through temporal symmetry.

2. THE TWIN UNIVERSE HYPOTHESIS

We begin with the core postulate: the observable universe is one half of a symmetric pair with a mirror universe, both emerging from a singular boundary point.

2.1 Temporal Mirror Symmetry

We let time coordinates be defined as a universally opposed mirror- where time and light reverse polarity.
