One more for the road, I'm feeling fine
I know my capabilities, I've done it before
There's nothing on the roads this time of night
Anyway it's your birthday, we should celebrate
But it's OK, I can walk straight
They will never catch me

I did because he deserved it, he asked for it
Been winding me up all night, he had it coming
I'm teaching her a lesson, she should know
Nobody cared for me so why should I care?
But it's OK, they'll get over it
They'll be the stronger for it

We're told that this is why, and then it's that
When your aim is something to which we wouldn't accede
Make us think we've evidenced our attack
Coerce us into seeing you less culpable
Well it's OK, we can trust you
You're sworn in, elected people

The lows will come and hit you like a surging flood
Where the waters shouldn't be.
You try your best to fit, you wipe away the mud,
But you're never truly free
To be the 'me' you dreamed in antiquity.

A song where every verse
Reminds me that it's worth carrying on
And I don't wanna hear the murmurings of fear
That tell me that I have to…

The stranger's eyes that meet your nearly tear-filled own
On the suburb's trodden streets.
