Bjarki and In3dee, two innovative artists from Iceland, have just officially released their track "Virgin" on bbbbbb records. Both are known for their intricate compositions, often utilising avant-garde techniques that interweave contemporary sounds with elements inspired by historical music. The creative process for "Virgin" began uniquely: one day, Indridi, who goes by the moniker In3dee, woke up to find Bjarki wearing his clothes. As a playful twist, they swapped outfits and also switched roles in the studio - with Bjarki usually on the drums and Indridi on the keyboard. During the session, In3dee was inspired to add his vocals to a separate track Bjarki was working on. While listening to it, he sang the lines for "Virgin". The culmination of this spontaneous collaboration and role reversal is the enthralling track we now enjoy.

The Wave is Estella Boersma's latest Single, released on Lobster Theremin.

Berlin based producer Estella Boersma announced themselves with a debut on Unknown to the Unknown’s Dance Trax imprint and a string of appearances in the infamous HOR bathroom have followed – including one at Crave Festival – generating a positive stream count thanks to their varied DJing style; floating between techno, bass, breaks, electro and old school rave.

Now debuting on Lobster Theremin, Estella serves up four assorted club cuts that perfectly exemplify the energy felt front-left at one of their sets.

‘The Wave’ is the most quintessential Estella track on the release – brimming with acid, breakbeats and warehouse rave energy, channelling older XL Recordings-inspired sounds and modern-punk electronic aesthetics. ‘Dial’ is frantic, stripped-back and raw - an angelic, colourful techno trip through pixelated palm trees and psychedelic sunrises.

‘Transfer’ drains the colour from its fabric as light turns to dark. Headsy, underground appeal blends with bouncy fun on a cut of wobbly 4x4 that sounds like something you might hear in a Chloe Robinson set, before high pitched-vocals and sped-up synths dazzle and delight with something that sits between techno, footwork and classic Chicago house.

трип presents ‘locus error’, a new double vinyl concept album. Moving beyond the scope of the traditional, arbitrarily compiled VA, трип's conceptual approach brings together a range of artists around a uniting theme, supplying a sense of cohesion and narrative thrust.
Like Noel Saavedra’s accompanying artwork, the narrative is vibrant yet nightmarish, a vision of classic trance music, including its psy side, refracted through трип's fearless, oddball aesthetic. Nina Kraviz sets the tone with 'test'. Kyoka’s ‘link’ coaxes you in with suggestive murmurs from all angles like an auditory hallucination. Ryan James Ford and ANTIGONE make label debuts, while SOPHIE and Juliana Huxtable unite for the first time as Analemma - a formidable pairing with an abstract offering, merging trance elements, metallic and corporeal sound design with vintage euphoria.
трип misfits PTU do their best to upset your sense of time and meter with two modern psy trance interpretations. Carlota contributes the nervously optimistic title track. Alan Backdrop’s hair and pulse raising yet classy ‘nizaj’ clears the way for the grand finale: X-Dream’s murky, mesmeric and minimalistic genre classic ‘superintelligence’. On the digital a ‘clever mix’ that was previously unreleased outside Japan will be released. Masters sit alongside newcomers to the form, on an LP for dancers deep in a fugue state.
