Kevin Over returns to Kerri Chandler’s Madhouse Records this October with his ‘Lavender’ EP, backed with a remix from Seven Davis Jr.

Berlin-based producer and DJ Kevin Over has been on the rise over the past few years with a steady stream of output on the likes of Gerd’s 4Lux, Dj Steaw’s House Puff and of course Madhouse where he returns to here following last years ‘Where To Begin’ EP.

The original mix of ‘Penthouse Boogie’ opens with jangling metallic percussion, thunderous sub tones and dusty drums driving the groove whilst an amalgamation of choppy chords and stabs ebb and flow amongst hypnotic pads, hooky vocals and jazzy marimba tones.

Seven Davis Jr’s remix of 'Penthouse Boogie' follows, taking a more raw and stripped-back approach with a gritty drum groove, skippy hats at the forefront whilst easing in the original’s vocal chant, resonant pad swells, wandering marimba tones and a fresh, bumpy bass line.

Title-track 'Lavender' then rounds out the package on a Garage tip with swinging broken drums, hooky vocal phrases, murky bass tones and organ stabs.

Off The Meds is a Swedish-South African crew based in Stockholm, consisting of producers Adrian Lux, Carli Löf and Måns Glaeser with vocalist Kamohelo Khoaripe. Belter is their first full solo release, arriving on Studio Barnhus 7 months after the band's low-slung, ethio-jazz-influenced hip-house burner Currency Low appeared as one of the standouts of 2018's much-lauded label compilation Studio Barnhus Volym 1.

A relentlessly catchy party starter, Belter combines classic rave elements with cutting edge production techniques and Kamo's pitch-shifted rapid-fire vocals.
Already a key feature in recent sets by the Studio Barnhus posse as well as London top selector Joy O, the latter took it upon himself to remix the track, turning it into an extended broken techno trip, a few shades darker and dubbier than the original.

Reivkru is a collective formed by likeminded individuals coming from different backgrounds, drawing influences from all aspects of music and technology.
This lead them musically to a diverse spectrum of styles with a strong focus on clubbased tracks that reach from dubbed out tunes around 120BPM to hard hitting techno cuts exceeding the limits of 140BPM and way beyond, often lending sounds and aspects of genres like Jungle or Hardcore.

2019 was the birthyear of the Reivkru label which offers a musical output for the kru: members but also for external artists which suit the concept of the label.
