From the moment I first heard "It Won't Work Out," the closing track on Dannii Minogue's 2003 album Neon Nights, I felt it was a pop-ballad begging to be a dance smash.

Don't get me wrong - I love the original album version. I have just as much love for the acoustic version on the deluxe edition of the album, Ross Callum's shelved emo-pop single mix, and the leaked demo (sometimes mislabeled as a "Dance Mix") that revealed it was indeed originally recorded as a vocal trance belter from Trouser Enthusiasts mastermind, Ian Masterson. But even when the official single mix finally surfaced in 2007, it still left me wanting.

After all these years, I've finally created the remix I always imagined. Taking the best parts of the single mix, and adding new guitars, new percussion, and MORE synths, I've transformed "It Won't Work Out" into the more dancefloor friendly version I've been waiting to hear.

"Round the World" always had the charm—Dannii and Terry Ronald’s clever lyrics and sweet harmonies were there waiting to be unlocked. For this remix, I wanted to finish what the original started. I’ve swapped the original production for a driving, elastic bassline and a funk-fueled house groove. It’s the same rhythmic vocal as before, just given the confident, dancefloor-ready strut it always deserved. 🌍✨
