Laurent Garnier returns to production with a new project: "A13", released by Musique Large. Garnier has been a long-standing fan of the label and its music, and here he delivers four devastating instrumental cuts that show he can throw down with the best of the new blood, beat for beat. This is an unusual release for the French techno pioneer, a timeless take on electronic hip hop beats. The game is up kids, make space for a true master.

Following the massive success of his breakthrough hit "Fuse," renowned Brazlian artist Eduardo Monteiro is back with an extraordinary collection of remixes. Reckoning Records is thrilled to announce that the "Fuse Remix Pack" EP will be available on all major platforms from August 25, 2023.

Monteiro has continued to make waves in the melodic techno scene since his captivating track "Fuse" was released earlier this year as part of his 'Resonance' EP. Now, he's set to further enchant fans with six brand new takes on his hit track. Each remix in the pack showcases the distinct style of its creator, ensuring a diverse, yet cohesive collection that extends the reach of Monteiro's original work.

The remixes include unique interpretations by an eclectic mix of international DJs and producers. Andy de Gage offers his distinctive energetic edge to the track, while DJ Tony Magic applies a deep, hypnotic spin. Hasan Ghazi, the label boss of Reckoning Records, lends his signature sound to a remix, infusing it with profound depth and complexity.

Home Shell & Olven weave their remix with rich, atmospheric textures, adding a surprising and welcome contrast to the original. Meanwhile, Kooku's version stands out with its catchy, rhythmic pulses and underlying groove. Lastly, Theliel provides a masterfully dark and twisted remix, expanding the original's universe with his signature soundscapes.

Reckoning Records believes that the "Fuse Remix Pack" EP will cement Monteiro's status as a visionary in the melodic techno scene. It encapsulates the ever-evolving nature of the genre and will undoubtedly be a treat for fans of Monteiro and the featured artists.

Late in 2013, French DJ and producer extraordinaire, Laurent Garnier, decided on a plan to get his music reaching out to the very corners of the underground music scene. Rather than self-releasing, or opting for the tried and tested labels, Garnier decided to plump for a selection of independent record labels from different countries that he greatly respected and supported, each one with their own strong identity and fan base, and to go under the moniker ‘Garnier’ for these projects. Opening his account on Chicago’s Still Music in February 2014, with the ‘AF0490’ single, the electronic stalwart has since gone on to issue singles on Modeselektor’s 50 Weapons (‘AF4302’ EP), Musique Large (‘A13’) and the MCDE label (‘KL2036’ EP).

A huge supporter of Hypercolour over the years, and perhaps an embracing of the British label’s dedication to the ‘UK sound’ (considering the Frenchman’s early deployment to Manchester’s legendary Hacienda club in the late 80s as resident DJ), it’s of little surprise then that the fifth Garnier project lands on Hypercolour this August.

Two stellar tracks then from Garnier; ‘ENCHANTé’ is an epic 122BPM chugger, its soaring and pitch bending strings, rasping keys and filtered vocals providing plenty of melancholic melody and classic electronic vibes, whilst a swinging drum pattern keeps things nice and tight. A big tune from Garnier here, sitting very snuggly with his legendary track, ‘The Man with the Red Face’, we’re expecting this one to ring out across dancefloors far and wide over the coming months….

On the flip, ‘pǝsnɟuoɔ’ goes straight for the jugular; a pumping techno workout with scattering and inter-galactic bleep-work, thunderous effects, and with a heady nod to the sounds of Detroit’s minimalists Robert Hood and Jeff Mills. Battering 909 snares are offset with the warm and harmonic choir pads, a killer slice of techno from one of the scene’s most switched on and in tune godfathers!

Debuting on Rekids, Laurent Garnier & Chambray collaborate for a colossal single entitled ‘Feelin’ Good’ featuring two outstanding remixes from label owner Radio Slave.

Having supported Rekids for many years in his sets across the globe, it only made sense for Laurent Garnier to drop one of his finest productions to date on the label. Although the legendary Frenchman has kept busy producing movie soundtracks (‘Paris Est A Nous’) and remixes in recent years, this is his first full release since 2017. He’s joined in the studio by Chambray, a Berlin-based producer known for releasing on Figure, Unknown To The Unknown and Jimmy Edgar’s Ultramajic.

Opening with sporadic battle cries, stabbing claps and powerful bass sequences before rapturous piano melodies come into effect – ‘Feelin’ Good’ is undoubtedly one of this year’s biggest tracks. On the flip, Radio Slave assembles two contrasting remixes that do just as much damage: the first is an atmospheric
number that marches forward using precision kicks, rattling percussion and rising pads, whilst the ‘Revenge Mix’ cranks things up a notch with its crunchy breaks before introducing the original’s blissful keys.
