This shorter than usual track was created specifically for use on a YouTube channel. The remit was to create movement and energy in the end result. What do you think?

Sidewinder

This is an experimental track, which makes use of the sound canvas in a way which combines synthersizer sounds, tribal drums, and arpegiation, to create a truely unique sound and mood.

Incantation

The world is full of good and bad,
and life is often happy and sad.
To find the balance that we need,
we must live without want and greed.

In every joy, there's been pain,
and every loss, anothers gain.
So embrace both light and dark,
and find the beauty in your heart.

For when we learn to balance well,
life's no longer a living hell.
It is harmony that we seek,
living life both strong and meek.

So take the good with the bad,
and never let your heart be sad.
For in the balance you'll stand tall,
and find the strength to be 
one with of it all.

Equilibrium

Creating music with a synthesizer can be an incredibly rewarding experience. It allows you to experiment with different sounds and wave forms, to create something that is truely unique and your own.  You can often find yourself lost in the process, due to the hypnotic sounds of the synthesizer sounds. This nonsensical track is just that, which simply captured such a moment.

Xanthium

This is a really strange composition, as i'm not really sure how this track came in to being. It  started out to simply mark the anniversary of the passing of my father, but somehow, I became influenced by the thought of what seems to be the lost echo of the "Forget-Me-Not" flower ?!?...  

In the heart of a sun-dappled woodland, amongst the ferns and the whispering leaves, bloomed a tiny flower unlike any other. Its petals were the color of a summer sky, and in its center, a golden eye watched the world with quiet wisdom. This was the forget-me-not, a flower not just of beauty, but of memory and longing.

There are two whispers that tell the story of the forget-me-not's name. One speaks of a young fairy named Elara, who fell in love with a mischievous fox named Ember. Elara, light as a dandelion seed, danced with the wind, while Ember, quick as a flame, raced through the forest. They were bound by laughter and mischief, a whirlwind of joy under the green canopy.

One day, Elara, picking a cluster of forget-me-nots, tripped and tumbled down a moss-covered bank. Lost and alone, she whispered, "Forget me not, Ember," before falling asleep. The breeze, touched by her plight, carried the name on its wings. It found Ember, who searched every nook and cranny of the woods until he heard Elara's soft sobs. When he found her, sunlight glinting through her tears, he placed a forget-me-not upon her brow, promising never to forget.

The other whisper paints a different tale. It speaks of a time when all flowers were unnamed. Each bloomed and withered without recognition, their unique beauty unknown. Then, one starry night, a tiny forget-me-not sprouted, its blue petals yearning for a name. In a voice barely audible, it cried out, "Forget me not!" The moon, touched by its courage, bestowed upon it the name it craved, forever etching its existence into the heart of the world.

Whichever story is true, the forget-me-not blooms as a reminder. It whispers of love that endures, of memories that cling, and of stories spun into the very fabric of the forest. So, when you see a patch of forget-me-nots, remember them. Remember the fairy's whispered plea, the tiny flower's yearning, and the stories they hold within their delicate petals.

Forget-Me-Not

Calling all Gallifreyans and synthwave enthusiasts! Buckle up for a sonic journey through time and space with this electrifying track, inspired by the iconic Doctor Who theme tune and the unforgettable synthesizer era of the 80s.

Prepare for a wave of nostalgia as pulsating arpeggios and driving rhythms propel you into a dimension of retro-futuristic wonder. The unmistakable echoes of the classic theme are woven into a tapestry of shimmering synth textures, creating a soundscape that's both familiar and thrillingly new.

Close your eyes and let the music transport you to a neon-drenched world of pixelated landscapes and timey-wimey adventures. Imagine the TARDIS materializing in a forgotten corner of the universe, its doors opening to reveal a kaleidoscope of sonic possibilities.

This track is more than just a tribute to the golden age of television sci-fi; it's an invitation to join the Doctor on a quest for sonic exploration. So, crank up the volume, set your phasers to stun, and get ready to lose yourself in the Vortex!

Double Down

This track is a sonic journey unlike any other, which begins with the primal pulse of tribal drums, hinting at the pace of life in humanity's earliest cultures. Then, as the movement evolves... well,  you best be prepared to be transported into a crescendo of driving rock! Yes, Rock! The climax is inspired by the hustle and bustle of modern-day cities, which is no less the type of face melting stuff you might expect to rock out to.


"Civilisation" is a colourful sound canvas on which I have attempted to paint the complexities of our world, the rise and fall of societies, and the enduring human spirit. It's been a labour of love, and I can't wait for you to venture on this auditory experience, created especially for you all.

The Neuro Divergence Music team here, writing on behalf of Robert, who's currently trying to figure out if his cat is plotting world domination or just wants more treats. (We're leaning towards the latter.)

But seriously, we wanted to take a moment to say a HUGE THANK YOU for being amazing, your support means the world to us, and we're forever grateful for your dedication.

If you didn't already know, Robert F. Sheppard is a midi sythersizer composer from Telford, Shropshire, UK. He has been making music since he was a child and is passionate about creating music that is both beautiful and meaningful. His influences are all the great early synthersizer pioneers, who he aspires to honour through his own creativity.

Sadly, Robert developed a neurological condition in 2021, which severely impacted his life, to the point where he is unable to leave his home unaided.  He now uses his music, which he has tuned to 432hz, as a means of both therapy and escape.

Robert says, "I am endlessly grateful to my family for helping me pursue my hobby, even when I thought I would never be able to do so again.  Their love and strength inspire me every day, to keep pushing my limits and to never give up."
