Smigonaut is the musical project of producer & DJ, Joshua Kipersztok. Characterized by his signature combination of bass-driven electronic music with the smooth finesse of jazz and hip-hop, his output ranging from introspective downtempo and trip hop beats, to fiery drum & bass, breakbeats and dubstep, all tied together with his signature touch.

From 2014 to 2020 he released several EPs and singles, catching the attention of discerning audiences across the northeastern region of the U.S., and was nominated for Dance/Electronic Artist of the Year at the 2020 Boston Music Awards. Since that time, Josh has relocated to Los Angeles and released a number of new works, both independently and with The Rust Music, including his debut album Antithesis (2022), which has seen a sold-out vinyl release and more than 1.5 million digital streams to-date.

Now he returns in 2025 with his latest independent work, a sophomore album titled Epitome, which falls on the chiller side of his consistently growing catalog. Boasting twelve tracks with featured artists including pheel., Drewidd, ZONE Drums, & his own duo project with David Westbom, GUNK, Epitome takes us deeper into the sonic world of Smigonaut, expanding on and further developing his musical lore.
