Psychedelic Jelly presents SUBROOT in this episode. SubRoot’s soundscapes span multiple genres ranging from deep dark hefty wonk to chill lofi. Originally hailing from the northeast USA, he recently made a move to northern Arizona, drawing inspiration from the natural surrounding beauty, infusing and weaving it through his music and ways of life. SubRoot’s journey into the world of electronic music began years ago with his previous project called Icaro, 2 best buds based out of Boston, MA. Connecting with the Fractaltribe allowed them many opportunities to make an impact in the music scene, releasing many tracks on renowned labels such as Merkaba Music, LostinSound, Mindspring Music, to name a few. The collaborative spirit of Icaro has led them to work alongside esteemed artists like Zebbler Encanti Experience, Living Light, Tribone, Govinda, Skytree, Supersillyus and many others. This mix features a lot of new and unreleased material, and reflects the new direction SubRoot is taking this project.

Sunday service was a success! What an absolute honor to get to play for such an amazing dance floor at this beautiful location, deep in the forest. It was a truly healing experience and I could feel the energy and release from everyone. Life's been one hell of a thing recently, and this was much needed. This is our church, and dance is our religion. Thank you all for joining me for that magical moment in time. We are so lucky to have events like this where we can be our true selves and weird the fuck out in comfort. Being able to leave your worries at the door and just be. This was my first time at Heaven on Earth, and it's something special. Thank you everyone for being so welcoming and loving, making my experience effortless. My soul is recharged and I'm ready to handle the madness of the world.

I had the pleasure of opening the Liquid Stage at this year's Noisily Festival, right after the opening ceremony (pictured). It was blisteringly hot (definitely not a given for the British summer!) and the dancefloor was packed with smiling, dancing people, which made for an awesome start to what was an amazing weekend all round.

Noisily Festival is one of the absolute highlights of the UK summer, and this year was simply spectacular. I had the honour of playing the Noisily Stage on the Friday night, and here is a recording of my set from that evening. Neurodriver, aka Dom Smart, is a UK-based producer, sound designer, audio software developer and DJ, with a long string of releases to his name.

His genre-defying music blends influences from techno, house and psychedelia into a futuristic hybrid of hypnotic sound, expertly crafted for full-range sound systems. Being a classically-trained musician and an expert sound designer, his music possesses an emotional diversity ranging from grinding machine rhythms to moments of sublime beauty– equally at home on sun-drenched festival stages, or dark, peak-time dance floors.

As a DJ, Dom’s energetic and improvisatory sets have rocked clubs and festival dancefloors all over the world, including Fabric, Glastonbury, Burning Man, Boom, Glade, Noisily, and many more. And when he’s not DJing or writing music, Dom develops music software with his company, Devious Machines.
