Very happy with this combination of Maxon OD808 (OTB: 393), Eleven Rack (Treadplate M mids cranked), EPSi in FX Loop with Owhammer Modern Studio Mix (OwnHammer_412_MAR-CB_V30-CH_T1_SP = Chinese V30).  Now if I actually knew how to play the full songs of anything lol I will make my own.

Need some new strings, knocking these things out of tune way too much. Made a new IR from my new favorite cabs, have a few different versions of it now, but captured the speaker breakup and resonation from the Eleven Rack along with the IR and it made this IR really come alive.

Was playing around with this with a lot of noises happening in the room, so it kind of an expirimental remaster. 

Used Line 6 Toneport GX and a cheap starter kit Ibanez guitar I got for one of my kids back in 2009 I think, but was nice to record something again and get back into it.

A mix of cabinets with solid state power amps but shaped more as if there is already an overdrive so there is more of a stacked overdrive sound. Works good for high gain also, was just curious.

Duncan Designed HB101B through Mesa Boogie Quad (Pro Tools/PSA-1 for cabinet)for #GuitarJunkies

Just put the PSP EQ27 on the mix, it adds some interesting air and presence that is just right, I will probably use it on individual tracks from now on. Definitely something to try out and see/listen for yourself. The presets are great at doing exactly what they say they will, that's for sure. Adds depth and rejects noise, like a real EQ with a jenson transformer would. Been waiting for something like this for a while. 

Maxon OD808 & Two Notes Le Lead (using the PSP E27 EQ (based on the Avedis Audio E27 EQ)

Thermionik is one of the first amp sims that don't really need an overdrive in front, but I found that it's faster to get the tone I want and tighten the low end flub (some amps are better off without this btw). 

I've intentionally darkened the sound to my taste with EQs, but there's tons of high end to cut through for a mix. 

It's quite easy and quick to just get your sounds with these amp models. Effects are an afterthought, just a bit of plate reverb here.

I think I actually had the PA on with both amps, but no pre on the second one, of course. I like that there's so many perimeters to mix and blend with multiple amps if desired.

Two Notes Le Lead with Eventide Anthology X

Used the Maxon OD808 with tone on 2, overdrive zero, balance 7. I recreated the Torpedo cabinet out type sound by using an impulse I made of the Two Notes Le Lead cabinet out (works best as a blend and not 100%) and used the big warm cabinet impulse, EMT140 reverb, and an impulse I made to capture mic proximity. Too much stuff...add a bunch of Eventide plugins and that's about all my laptop can handle haha 

I will have to try to see if I can make a cabinet that does the sound somehow.

Hopefully you will use SIR2 and the presets I made for the IRs where I EQ'd and changed the way things fade out, etc. The reverb one is longer than you will probably want for most uses, and the cab IR was a bit long so I set it to end sooner for faster playing.  

These include Cakewalk, Fabfilter, Eventide, and Nick Crowe Labs' Tubedriver presets, as well as some screenshots of the Sonar Plainum Pro Channel FX settings. If you should embark on such an arduous quest. Always good to have a starting point to see if any of this is useful for you in your own sound. 



Eventide Fun Part 3: Thermionik Damage 120 (ENGL Savage 120)

*Note: I bumped up the H3000 Band Delays Frequency to -4 (up from -13) so it's a bit brighter than the actual preset.

Gear: Yamaha Pacifica 1221MS, Two Notes Le Lead (Blue Fusion Mode), Maxon OD808 used for the second half/bar dives & stuff. For cabine sounds instead of using Le Lead's cabinet out, I used Thermionik power amp/cabinets, as well as a few IRs that do different things and last, but not least, some Eventide Anthology X plugins, as well as Fabfilter and Nick Crowe Labs Tubedriver to get things to feel and sound the way I wanted.

(Shut the preamp off on the Thermionik Damage 120 amp if you're just needing power amp sounds, it was set to simulate the sound of an ENGL preamp so if you need an amp sim, it's ON by default).

Included are some screenshots of the tracks in Sonar Platinum to help guide you if you want to try some of the settings.  

Eventide Fun Part 4: COSMIC HARMONY (w/Two Notes Le Lead)

Just slid the H3000 band delay frequency to -14 and mix up to 55% and changed the harmonizer settings slightly (so that the flange had high and low boost and slightly more mix %). Also put the busses in pre instead of post and utilized FerricTDS Tape Dynamics Simulator(another good free plugin to check out).
