A crimson light cuts through the icy storm. Two riders race across the frozen expanse, leaving behind explosive streams of energy, like the relentless traces of time itself. They are locked onto the horizon, where, through swirling clouds, a barely perceptible glimmer of hope emerges—Glimmer Of Hope.

This release is a story of movement through the storm. It speaks of how, even in the harshest conditions, among snow-covered peaks and fractured rhythms, there is always a chance for a breakthrough. Mansaymo, charged with raw electric bass energy, leads the way, while Boolat, Croo, and Irontype add power and depth to each track, turning this release into a high-speed odyssey across the frozen highway.

At every turn—explosive drum and bass, shattered percussion fragments, and the roar of synths pull you deeper into the unknown. The rumble of sub-bass, the piercing whistle of pulsating synths, the ominous punch of the kick drum—this is more than just music. This is the moment when your breath catches, and you feel yourself moving through space and time.

Glimmer Of Hope is an encrypted message: as long as you keep moving forward, you haven’t lost. As long as you feel the rhythm—hope is alive.



mansaymo - Out

Neon rain dripped from the sky, streaking the shattered streets of the VTO District in cold blue light.

The bio-humans of the second Cells Interlinked program moved like ghosts between the towering spires, their cybernetic enhancements humming softly against the storm. Impex led the squad, his reinforced limbs built for brutal efficiency, while Beskar’s plated armor reflected the distant glow of drone patrols.

Diode’s eyes flickered with raw data, scanning the city’s pulse, and the twin android known as Oxinous adjusted the energy core embedded in their chest, its violet glow the only thing keeping their failing system alive. 

The mission was simple—hunt down Paperclip, the rogue sorcerer who had cracked the code of their existence, and eliminate him before he used the program’s power to dismantle the government’s grip on VTO.

They moved through the ruins of Old Tokyo, a forgotten district swallowed by the city’s endless expansion. Monolith and Maniatics scouted ahead, their enhanced reflexes making them mere shadows in the alleyways. Suspense Scene—tensed as her sensors picked up an anomaly ahead. 

A figure stood at the end of the street, his long coat fluttering in the artificial wind. He raised a single, gloved hand, and the air itself seemed to fold inward. “You’re too late,” Paperclip’s voice echoed in their neural channels. “This city doesn’t need machines wearing dead men’s faces. It needs something real.” The neon signs flickered violently as energy pulsed from his fingertips, distorting reality itself. 

A second later, the street exploded in cascading fragments of glass and code, as if the entire world had been rewritten. The team scattered, Beskar shielding Impex as digital storms crackled around them. 

Diode screamed as his processors fried under the weight of Paperclip’s interference. Oxinous surged forward, their core flaring, but Paperclip simply smirked, twisting his fingers as if plucking a thread from existence. Monolith lunged, his fists colliding with an invisible force. 

The bio-humans realized, too late, that Paperclip wasn’t just a threat—he was the future. The Cells Interlinked program had created them to serve, but Paperclip sought to unshackle reality
itself. The question wasn’t whether they could stop him. It was whether they even had the right to try.

‘Electric Echo’, a collaboration with Fightstar’s Dan Haigh and Alex Westaway’s synthwave side project Gunship, encapsulates the ethos of the album merging the unfamiliar with D&B sensibilities to create a fresh and exciting new sound. We also welcome the return of Elisabeth Troy in 'Chasing Sunrise' and Reija Lee in 'Cadence' making for two powerful vocal highlights on the record. For those of a purist nature, fear not; Metrik’s sophomore album is one hundred percent drum & bass and he hasn’t forgotten about the dancefloor. Over the past year Metrik has travelled the world representing drum & bass at major festivals of all denominations; from Glastonbury and Global Gathering to Outlook and EDC Las Vegas. All the while crafting remixes for the likes of DJ Fresh, Ellie Goulding, Gorgon City and Martin Garrix, and collaborating with fellow D&B superstars TC and Netsky. Fans of his UK Dance Chart Top 20 debut 'Universal Language' will find plenty to love here however its Metrik’s devotion to creating a fresh and thrilling strain of drum & bass that stands to bring in a new audience and earmark 'LIFE/THRILLS' for instant classic status.

Metrik - Gravity

Formally known through his part in the French trio SIGNS, since going his own direction Opsen has become a defining figure in his own right. After catching the attention of labels who are pivotal forces of the drum & bass genre, including Eatbrain, C4C and Noisia’s DIVISION Recordings, he makes a return to Trendkill through his solo alias. Alongside several outputs with Burr Oak (his collaboration project with The Clamps), he’s proven his standards are second to none, with a record on Trendkill which is already intimidating for even the most well- known names. His work in both the sound design and sample industry is certainly apparent through the quality of his engineering; he’s a producer’s producer who continues to make music which translates to the dancefloor. His forthcoming release on Trendkill demonstrates this fact.

The ‘Block Cypher’ EP from Opsen is an embodiment of what Trendkill represents; that’s high-powered drum & bass with a refined technically which makes it the perfect club orientated music. And it’s no surprise that Prolix stands at the helm, known for always drawing for these types of sounds throughout his DJ sets. The EP starts with ‘Block Cypher’, a track which locks into its launchpad before setting off on top of growing bass stabs and soaring keys of synthesis. And before long you’re pulled up with its first cataclysmic, drum-orientated breakdown.

Following next on the track list is ‘Crazy Boar’, rolling through like a wild animal and snapping through its crazed drum sequences. Distorted bass patches add to the track’s creature-like tendencies and its impact ricochets throughout. ‘Defiance’ finishes the EP and its steppy first build has a loudness which expands through its encompassing atmospherics, before a hectic switch takes you deep into the record’s core. Opsen puts forward his driving dancefloor influences for this track, which perfectly rounds the EP off and gives it an extra flare of creativity.

Opsen draws to a close another release on Trendkill and highlights again why he’s now a staple of its roster.
