Lynx3R, also known as Vlad Chernikov from Sofia, and Fri3ndship, an alias for Emma Friendship, a Brit based in Madrid, are gearing up to kick off new phases in their musical careers with their inaugural collaboration, 'Lights'.

Recently spotlighted by BBC Introducing Solent, 'Lights' is just the beginning of what promises to be a fruitful partnership between the duo. The track was crafted by the relatively new talent, Lynx3R, who, despite his impressive sound precision and skill level, astonishingly ventured into music production only three years ago.

Like cricket, football and rugby, drum and bass originated in good ol' Blighty and much like the aforementioned sports, it's gone global. Inevitably this means the UK's time as a drum and bass superpower may well be limited as the talent pool deepens and the genre continues to expand its reach.

Bulgarian producer L33 is a case in point with his intricate production skills having helped place Bulgaria's burgeoning D&B scene on the map. His impressive back catalogue has seen him release tunes for the likes Program, Eatbrain, Rise Audio, Titan, Addictive Behaviour and Lifted Music and pick up support from the likes of heavyweight artists Andy C, DJ Hype, Dillinja and Noisia. All this he's still yet to blow the candles out on his 22nd birthday. We'd be jealous if we weren't enjoying his music so much.

So with his career continuing to sky rocket, DJ sets at underground parties across Europe, main stage action at Let It Roll  and a headline set alongside Commix, Doc Scott and Halogenix at London nightspot The Qube Project for Addictive Behaviour December 4th, we thought there was no time like the present to welcome him to our Mix Of The Day series. Edinburgh based DJ Folie, is a multi-genre artists that specialises in Drum&Bass, Tek & core. His passion especially lies with Neurofunk, HardTek & Frenchcore but is no stranger from travelling up & down the BPM scale. You can expect his sets to blend different sub-genres with intricate sections and powerful drops whilst always keeping you on your toes powering from track to track. 

He first made an appearance in 2022 playing for Alien Disko which he then joined the ranks and become a staple resident on their line-up. A year later he co-founded the collective CandyFlip with Rodent which focuses on a different genre every event to try and inject new sound into the Edinburgh scene and allow people to branch out from the norm. It has gained lots of attraction since the launch for hosting some of the best artists from the UK, whilst also pushing new up-and-coming talent. 

To date Folie has played across many well respect nights and supported a wide variety of artists such as Mandidextrous, Xeatis, Bish, Spice-Up! & Neika.
