Introducing you to another young uprising talent from South Africa, Fraser Jones. Hailing from a rich musical heritage in South Africa, DJ & Producer Fraser Jones seamlessly intertwines traditional African rhythms and lyrics with a melodic touch. Drawing inspiration from luminaries in his homeland such as Black Coffee, Kasango, and Cairo, as well as finding motivation in Brazilian music from artists like Maz and Antdot. Fraser, at the age of 23, has already collaborated with remarkable talents like Pippi Ciez, Tabia, Lizwi, Fine and Iddz Aziz.
Fraser envisions continuing to learn from his musical idols as he navigates his ever-expanding career. His ultimate dream is to elevate African music to global prominence. The mix includes one of his unreleased Tracks:

Here is my set from Cafe 1001 on Brick Lane in London last week. I cut off a little from the start of the first track as it was very crackly in the beginning - this record was sold as VG+ which it definitely was not!

This mix is a blend of some old and new house, acid house, tribal and garage-esq tunes from the 80s up until this year, enjoy 🫶
