More of a beat cypher or a thoughtful interlude than a full-length song, Jumanji gives us an insight into what it would be like to be lost inside a maze wrapped up in an enigma all inside a deadly game. Metallic clangs ricochet off the walls laying the foundation for a beat that seems to bounce deftly across the jungle floor, as if being chased by a dozen rabid monkeys. This is for the true lovers of juke/booty house. Frenetic synths swirl around the rock-solid footwork framework while the manic cutup rap vocals bring the ghetto flavour over thick rolling sub bass. This release isn’t for the faint-hearted (or the faint-bootied for that matter). This is for the realest, coldest motherfuckers out there. It’s quite the journey, but alas we are only just getting started. Next up, be confronted by the slow burning sub-monsters of ‘Bang’. Flip the switch and appreciate this unique beat from a new perspective. Rounding up the EP is ‘Everything’. This is an all-encompassing affair with building future-fresh chords; the ultimate release challenging you to pack up & escape to a better place. 

Also included is the bonus track ‘Want U’ - it’s a slow burner that builds on some Musiq Soulchild vibes, stretching the soulful chords into an ascending future focused masterpiece. Incidentally finding this song is the exact situation that put Robustt firmly on our radar at NS HQ. 

As you can see Sometimes a situation can be a journey. Sometimes a confrontation. Sometimes an escape. Sometimes a situation can even find you.
