I have prevailed, despite all of your efforts. You have failed to break me down in the end. Do you understand that I will never give into your pathetic efforts to weigh me down into the dark abyss of self-loathing? I will not give in, I will not yield, I will not live on in this world as it is the only way to truly ascend beyond your apathy.

I am rising over a hill, seeing the horizon. Behind me lies my greatest failures, and before me, the end of it all. At long last it's over. I can leave the hate for it all behind me.

I can say "goodbye at last" to this cold world, the one that simply kept trying to break me down, ensure I never found this precipice. But look at me now. Look at me and know I am free, know I have triumphed, know that I am beyond your pitiful hate and envy. I am free because I don't need to prove myself in order to fit in. I don't need to prove myself better than any other.

I know humility, I know fault, I know shame. Can you say the same?

As I dust away, as I pass on from this life, remember my name, remember who I was. Remember me as the man who overcame his battles like the warrior he tried so hard to be. Know I only wished for a better life in an ever-worsening world.
