THE FLORENCE ROAD ATTIC DEMOS
Andy recorded these performances by Sean and Stevie in his home studio on 1st July 2017.  2 voices, 2 guitars, 2 mics, 10 songs, 6 hours.  All tracked live which meant when they made a mistake they couldn’t live with, they went back and started all over again until they got a complete take.  After Sean and Stevie left, Andy dubbed some guitar and resonator over a few tracks.

Of the originals, ‘Still Falling’ imagines writing a love song on the last day before the world ends; ‘The Drowned Mona Lisa’ is inspired by the true story of the Unknown Woman of the Seine – a mysterious figure who became the model for the doll used worldwide in CPR training – see the album image and read the full story here in  Jeremy Grange’s fascinating article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-24534069. ‘Next Train to Ride’ began as a song about a long distance relationship and ended up as a song about maintaining a long term relationship.  No-one seems to be very sure what ‘Twice Shy’ is about.
