Over the past years French artist and Forest ill Records co-founder Nemo Vachez has been producing music based on several influences and emotions to make every artists’ dream come to true, namely to come up with an entire album. The eleven-tracker Epitome is released via Nemo’s own imprint and rings in a new cycle, maybe even a new era of the label as it showcases a more varied and complex side of his productions. With releases on renowned labels such as Truly Madly’s Mindhelmet, Sex Tapes From Mars, Mitch Wellings’ Space Tours or LOWMONEYMUSICLOVE, just to name a few, Nemo Vachez doesn’t need to prove that he could’ve released his debut album anywhere else as the artist is happy enough to enjoy a certain musical freedom, when it comes to his productions. Shortly before the HipHop, IDM, Breaks, Vocoder-album or maybe 80/90s infused album is dropping in stores, Nemo sat down with Torture the Artist to speak about Epitome, the early days of Forest ill Records and, of course, digging new music. Eject Records, a rising independent music label, have arrived with their first vinyl release named "Portmone EP" which showcases the production of the talented artist Matpri. Matpri's production skills are on full display in this EP, with each track providing a different vibe and energy suitable for different moments on the dancefloor. The minimalistic approach to the production provides ample room for the groovy basslines and catchy melodies to shine through. The EP also features a remix from Nolga, another talented artist who has been making waves in the minimal scene. His remix adds a fresh and unique flavour to the EP, while still maintaining the groovy and minimal vibe that Matpri has established. All in all, "Portmone EP" is a fantastic release from Eject Records that showcases the label's commitment to quality music and support for emerging talent.

The mysterious NoEgo delivers equally mysterious productions for SVRSR018. Sneaky sounds come shrouded in secrecy, gently echoing through the soundscape and perking the listener's ear to beg the nature of their origins. Three tightly tapered tracks are on deck here, each fitted with the bleep-bloops and click-clacks we covet, gently balanced over the deep and groovy low end that we crave. These puzzling punctuations find themselves right at home, delivered in the signature styling of NoEgo.
