so, john w here. long time no see. honestly hadn't expected to make a return with how long i was gone, but i'm back and surprisingly more creatively driven than i think i've ever been, even NR is back from the dead and undergoing genuine progress that i hope to share some time in the future (watch the music/art block kick in in like a week). but yeah, tl;dr, i have returned and i hope you all enjoy whatever content i shove out.

also i didn't really have a reason to come up with a new username but i think it sounds better than just using my name lol

also i'm pretty sure i used shinkonet's midi of the og song when i made the original ages ago so credit to them.

With circumstances at their worst, staying determined is far from easy.

i had debated on papyrus playing a role in the story for awhile after i picked NR back up, but i ultimately kept him in. he's important, and i'm ultimately too attached to the personality and design i gave him for it to just fade away.

anyways onto the song, this is one of those that i felt didn't need much of a rework, even if it is kinda short compared to most equivalents to the track it replaces/is based on.

also i know i'm inconsistent on when i credit toby fox but credit to him for undertale.

also (again), a lot of motifs were borrowed from a friend of mine, who you should check out sometime. she doesn't exclusively do UT stuff, so that's instantly more than i can say.

i learned pretty quick that i couldn't afford to not care anymore.

here's sans's theme. those of you who followed me back in the day may remember this as a theme i had originally intended for use in his shop, as sans takes the main shopkeeper role (though he's a lot more important than the likes of grillby or gerson were in undertale proper). however, i've instead decided to just call this his general theme song. i think it fits that idea better.
