I remember hearing this song probably a week after it came out and immediately felt like remixing it. And so I did, and I finished it fairly quick. You know, I thought it was a cute song and wanted to try my own spin on it, I read the description and the story of it and went "Oh that's pretty cool, it was inspired by a sgap song." Then I didn't think much of it after. A couple days back I finished this remix and I go back to the original song. I read the description again because I did really want to know the story behind the song. This time I took the time to figure out what the "Unmakable Love" Project was and thought it was a full blown out album or series that had multiple songs, which was started by sgap. I listened to some of sgap's music, but was never fully invested into it. After upon finding the only song of it "RD/RA" I tried to understand the story and the meaning. Then went back to Direct Current's tribute and really did understand the meaning. The fact that someone continued in a way really did resonate with me. I think that's really why I prefer the original of this compared to my remix. Because of the meaning behind it, because it was picking up what sgap did and continuing in a way to then make it happen. Another thing, having the series by sgap being inspired by a fanfic called "The Combinatorics Project". I remember probably having that on my "read later" list for as long as a can remember. I only read the first chapter and never continued it. Recently I started reading it again and it made me realize how we get our inspiration. The reason I love Direct Current's version is because of the meaning and the inspiration behind it. Sometimes I listen to other's music and wonder why it has so much emotion. It's because it has intent and a meaning already instilled when it's being created. And that's something that I want to do, to create a song with inspiration and to create a song with an actual purpose behind it, with an actual intent and meaning behind it. To convey emotions in a way that it was meant to be and not a message that is slapped on. Something that was started from the beginning and was carried on through the entirety of it.

The theme of this album was war, and I I made this track with the intent of it subtly representing that.

I'd like to thank all my prelisteners, my friends and the P@D team for their support and feedback, allowing this experiment to be the best thing I've made so far, and first real jump into bass music (more coming). I made this song in three consecutive days while trying to be Electric Mantis's Daybreak lmao. This was a test to show off my diversity while still keeping a familiar vibe. Did some minor mix adjustments, added vox to the intro to see how I'd like it, also added an actual sub bass for the drop and increased bass in trhe verse, and made the lead synths easier to hear, among some other minor changes.
