TRIBONE - Earth Stage - Oregon Eclipse 2017

For the first 5 years of writing electronic music I was making dubby, DnB, Jungle, Hip hop and experimental music. It wasn't until my friend convinced me to try and write a trance tune (which I refused to do for a long time) ' The Moof is Rooving ' I played at one of my first sets as the last track at a small out door festival in the forest outside of nelson along side my dubby experimental music and as soon as the first kick dropped people were coming out of the trees and running to the dance floor and dancing like people having an exorcism. Once I was back home after the summer in nelson I started to write psy break and some more psychedelic stuff. as the next summer came around I had a full set of tunes to play and was pushed into the spot light playing greats times and having an amazing response.
The fractal of life opened up in front of me and I have surfed that wave far and wide playing grouch all over the world. The problem was that I didn't have enough time to write enough even grouch music which is why my album on zenon records " Corpus Callosum' took me upwards of 5 years to finish.

I knew that as soon as the album was done and I was back from touring it I would be getting deep and going back to my roots and writing music that just comes out of me so naturally - LOVE it it comes straight from my heart and I am so happy to have had the time and support to finish this piece of my self.

My journey in life through my music is a transformation healing path where i am having to face my insecurities of being on stage where I often get stage fright BUT the love of my passion for music has kept me getting up on stage and facing the fear. Every time I get up there I have a healing experience, facing my fears with my love and so I grow and feel humbled to the core from this Life's blessing of giving me a passion I knew I would never let go.

Hi all, it's been some time since I shared a mix of any kind with you, and with the current pandemic it seems that people could do with music to listen to at home now more than ever. 

So i've recorded this epic three hour long mix to help these long days of self isolation pass that little bit quicker. This mix is a celebration of all things psychedelic and journeys through a great many of the alternative styles and tempos our sector of music has to offer, including Glitch Hop, Psy Chill, Dub, Techno, Progressive, Breakbeat etc and showcases a variety of my favourite tracks past and present from friends and artists the world over.

“Whitebear” is the former project of Arthur Song. He has taken this project to over 18 countries around the world, having performed at notable festivals such as Rainbow Serpent Festival (AUS), Shambhala Festival (CAN), Boom Festival (POR) and many more. From the inception of the project in 2011 until its retirement in 2019, Arthur has forged his own unique flavour of midtempo psychedelic bass music, and as such has carved out a place for himself in the global psychedelic scene. For now he has taken a step back from performing and has laid the “Whitebear” project to rest, to pursue other creative endeavours, namely the “FORM NULL” project, birthed in 2020.

“FORM NULL” is the result of a desire to remove the limitations placed on creativity by genre, expectations and dance floor sensibilities. It is an exploration in the immersive nature of soundscapes, and its ability to transcend both concepts of time and space. Ranging from ambient/drone music to the signature earth shattering bass we’ve come to know from the “Whitebear” project, “FORM NULL” is an experiment of sound.

Jedi’s Chillout | Whitebear

Born in captivity — with two black eyes, constantly threatened and tranquillised — PANDORRR realised that there must be more to life, that things didn't have to be so black and white. So, with a bamboo bobby pin, they escaped into the night on an expedition far and wide, to find an embarrassment of pandas living in the wild. But all the pandas were in hiding, surviving, in disguise. And the tumbleweeds just rolled on by... 

Panda head in panda paws and more alone than ever before, PANDORRR — about to give up hope, turn back for good — suddenly felt a deep rumbling underfoot. The whole valley shook and shuddered, birds aflutter, dust rising off the ground. Then from all around erupted a rich tapestry of sound, dripping down the mountains, skipping over streams, weaving together the lushest journey a panda could ever dream. 

It was then that PANDORRR fell in love. Not with some randy panda they had conjured up, but with the primal pulse and tribal tunes and bamboo beats that make you swoon. Thus, they began to blend and mix every mystic morsel, to force all the pandas out of the woodwork and onto the dancefloor — a chance for them to feast and stomp and sprawl, to be truly free once and for all… 

This is their mating call.
