Berlin-based talents Mat.Joe have emerged to become key names within house music since making their debut back in 2012, with releases via some of dance music’s most respected labels including Repopulate Mars, Relief, Hottrax, Armada Subjekt and Off Recordings, plus notable collaborations with the likes of Sonny Fodera on Defected, Camelphat on elrow Music and Kevin Knapp. Following heavy support from label boss Danny Howard in both his DJ sets and via his BBC Radio 1 show, the duo now debut on his Nothing Else Matters imprint this April to deliver their latest single ‘Off Ma Mind’. An artist who lives and breathes dance music, Darius’ latest delivery showcases his unwavering devotion to producing quality dance cuts that defy genre constraints. Opening with ‘Tivoli’s Groove’, an irresistible 4/4 swing and undulating beat give the title track infinite club appeal. The bumping ‘Mustang 74’ follows, as a full throttle bassline, percussive stabs and warm synths work in total harmony. An artist whose roots lie firmly in the principles of house and techno, Darius’ musical philosophy shines through on this stellar delivery.

House mainstay Darius Syrossian is back with more of his dancefloor dynamite. This time the Moxy Muzik boss finds himself on Griffintown Records with two new gems that come after many years of laying down no frills but high impact tunes on the days finest labels. Darius said at the beginning of the year, 2020 will be the year he goes back to his roots of making House music, inspired by that tough 90s Chicago house sound, which is where he made his name. Over the last 2 weeks the release has received huge support on BBC Radio 1 from Pete Tong, Danny Howard, and Black Madonna. 

Rouge Disco is a colourful and playful track with big disco loops and slamming drums. Explosive vocal stabs and colourful chords, splashy hi hats and funk bass riffs all make sure this one will work the floor into a real lather. Diva is then a big and full flavour wedge of house music with emotive cries, bass stabs that tease and plenty of tension building that will have people in raptures. 

These tracks both show a different side to Syrossian with his usual high class results.

Treating the Hot Creations imprint to a dose of pure and unadulterated house, the rising partnership of Darius Syrossian & Hector Couto deliver a 4-tracker of Chicago bumpin’ rowdyness. Big, bad and heavy basslines are the order of the day and forthcoming EP ‘Who’s The Douche?’ is guaranteed to destroy the dancefloor.

Darius Syrossian was crowned DJ Mag’s Best British Breakthrough producer of 2012 and has been blowing up with big releases on VIVa music, OFF Recordings and Get Physical. A strong advocate for “True House Music”, Leeds based Darius is a core artist in Steve Lawler’s VIVa music family, runs his own record label and is a monthly resident at Sankeys Nightclub in Manchester. Darius recently remixed the Freaks for Hot Creations to great effect

Young Spanish talent Hector Couto is another VIVa music family member also with releases on Saved Records, his own imprint Pura Music and now set for major success with Darius on Hot Creations. Hector was one of Resident Advisor’s top 100 charted producers in 2011 and was nominated for DJ awards in Deejay and Vicious Mag.
