Oliver Huntemann always delivers - especially on his own Senso imprint. After two decades at the forefront of the European scene, to see his name on a record gua- rantees deep and deeply accomplished techno with a precise, refined production and high-definition details.
Both tunes on this double-header live up to the billing. 'Pech' is a masterclass in the selection and combination of tone, texture and the thoughtful treatments applied to them. A long two-minute build paves the way for a sustained bass tone that teases the listener with well-timed pitch bends. Elements unfold and flower organically as the tune reaches its climax of dancing synth lines.
'Schwefel' takes a voyage into more eerie territory, full of echo and distant music- box pings. Huntemann balances these delicate melodic sounds with gritty synth repetitions that finally win the day to deliver a surging, stirring and deeply memo- rable roller.

Mainz rooted duo Matchy and Bott serve up three dancefloor heaters for their “Battle Boii” EP.
A traveling bassline opens up the eponymous track, while dramatic synth leads slowly unfold into a dreamy, laid back melody. The ascending groove is slow paced yet intricate, constructing a perfect setting for subtle transitions. On the other side of the melodic spectrum, Ocean surprises with a juxtaposition of gloom and wandering indie vocals. Playful harmonic keys alternate dark synths, forming a looming, ever-approaching backdrop that’s a perfect tension builder. Enrolled for the remix, Lars Moston injects more bass into Ocean’s already high-strung framework. Distorting the original vocals and pairing them with equally contorted synths, the track comes as a powerful floor mover that’s equally dancy as the original.

The Arc of Tension speaks to its listener as a singular, self contained work, which communicates by way of its natural flow and arc of suspense. The latter is mirrored not only in the multifarious narrative of the actual album, but can also be understood as evidence for its creator's long musical history. 'Planetarium' exemplifies, moreover, that a fusion of delicate musicality and sheer force leads to impressively ecstatic results. Ultimately, what lingers is the feeling that we are being granted a deep glance into the innermost being of an outstanding artist.
