To celebrate our 200th release, the fourth installment of the “Stil vor Talent Berlin” compilation series brings forth a group of old and new faces, who exclusively contributed unreleased tracks, gathered under the umbrella of Berlin's metaphorical aorta.

Alexanderplatz – or more specifically, its TV tower the 'Fernsehturm' – is one of the city's most iconic spots, bustling with locals and tourists alike. A stroll through its subjacent U-Bahn station exemplifies Berlin's multitude and diversity like no other place in the city.

As always, music is the common denominator and Oliver Koletzki delivers the perfect soundtrack with this new release, while Chrisse Kunst renders the visual.

Ritter Butzke Club, based in the heart of Berlin-Kreuzberg, celebrates its 8th anniversary. What once started as an illegal rave, is now established on the regular club scene. After all these years, it still maintains the charm of an ‘unfinished’ living room. “8 Years Lost” is a sound document created by resident DJs and friends to represent the vibe of the place and to share it with their listeners.

The release comes with 14 tracks from Nicone`, Koletzki & Schwind, Klangkuenstler or Tigerskin, well mixed with tracks from the residents like: Baal, DJ Aroma or Prismode & Solvane plus some nice goodies from close friends who are also regulars in the venue such as: HRRSN, Kotlett & Zadak or Dapayk Solo. Markus Klee contributed a DJ Mix to the digital edition of the release.

Der Jeden Tag ein Set Podcast im Juli kommt diesmal vom Berliner Duo Prismode & Solvane. Die beiden Berliner sind eng verbunden mit dem Ritter Butzke, denn Prismode ist unter anderem für die Programmgestaltung des Clubs verantwortlich und Solvane hostet die wöchentliche Ausgabe von Radio Butzke auf Fritz. Neben ihren Soloprojekten finden sie zudem auch noch die Zeit gemeinsame im Studio an neuen Tracks und Remixen zu basteln. Zuletzt veröffentlichten sie mit „Octupus“ einen wirklichen Leckerbissen auf Stil vor Talent, der sich auch, neben Tracks von Acts wie Patrice Baumel, Nicone, Tale Of Us oder Roumex, in ihrem neuen Jeden Tag ein Set Podcast versteckt. Wachgeküsst durch die erste Berührung des weit entfernten Lebensspenders, erhebt sich Mutter Natur aus ihren Winterschlaf. Vorsichtig schüttelt sie die Lethargie der letzten Monate ab und beginnt sich zu entfalten. Gleichsam entwickeln sich auch die ersten Takte der neuen deep story. Zuerst behutsam tastend und dann selbstbewusst treibend ehe sie sich in voller Pracht entfalten.
Die musikalische Auswahl lockt genau wie die immer grüner werdende Umgebung die Menschen aus ihren Behausungen hervor und setzt sie in Bewegung. Beschwingt schlendern sie in Scharen durch die Parks und lassen das liebgewonnene Sofa hinter sich. Sonnenstrahlen und elektronische Klänge erhöhen die Pulsfrequenz und den Serotonin-Spiegel. Zufriedenheit macht sie breit und wird getragen durch melodischen Synthetismus. Untermalt mit gelegentlichen Vocals ergibt sich ein stimmiges Gesamtbild. Wir danken Prismode für diesen herrlichen Frühlingsspaziergang, der uns durch die grauen Gemäuer in die bunte Welt der Natur begleitet hat.

Over the years, Berlin has been cited as Oliver Koletzki’s main point of reference and, more importantly, his endless source of inspiration. His albums Großstadtmärchen and Großstadtmärchen 2 are wholehearted tributes of the German capital, as its importance is continuously hinted and charted.  Friedrichshain, one of Berlin’s vibrant districts, has always held a special place in Oliver’s heart. This is where he started out when he first moved to the city, and this is where he lives now. Kreuzberg’s wall paintings adorn Stil Vor Talent ’s cover sleeves and host their headquarters. There are little to no corners in the city that haven’t brought a spark of inspiration into the mix. The Schneeweiss compilation series, now at its 10th installment, is built as a form of tribute to all these particles, tied in together into a series of carefully curated tracks. Each compilation stands at the intersection of the musical and cultural surroundings most prominent of their respective times, acting both as a reminder as well as a timeless sound capsule for the years to come.
