The song was written during the long and lonely period of pandemic isolation. As the streets of Copenhagen lay desolate and dark, The New Investors met in their studio sanctuary to record this song for their upcoming album. 

While the feeling of social deprivation and lost youth increased in the outside world, the song evolved into an up-tempo hymn. It celebrates our basic human urge to break out of this miserable isolation and find a sanctuary where we can be more than just ourselves.

Deborah is a beautiful melancholic song about being left to the loneliness of aimless routines in the endless idle of Sundays. The song is introduced with a violent sound inferno that slides into a subdued sound universe with an underlying disturbing mood that leads to a large-scale transcendent high to heaven.

New Beginning is about a group of young hippies who, on top of the apocalypse, venture into the wilderness in search of a new guiding star and a new and alternative way of life far away from growth capitalism and pandemics - a new beginning.

As the title reveals, the single marks a turn back to the beginning for The New Investors. In addition to returning to their duo constellation, Glenn Müller and Søren Tiemroth have gone back to their original expression and unique sound – breezy surfpop mixed with a dreampop aesthetic and an edgy twist of psychedelia.

The New Investors are following up on the apocalyptic theme from the previous single New Beginning. This time fueled by dreamy synth landscapes and buzzing alien voices.

Precious Possessions is the perfect dream escape from the problems of the world today. At the verge of the apocalypse this is the last call for the surviving humans on this planet – a place they are about to completely destroy in order to continue their affluent lifestyles - to give up their “precious possessions” and go back to living a life with less material wealth but in greater harmony with nature and each other.

Take a ride on the Midnight Horses. Take a psychedelic trip into the night. It’s a classic indie pop / psychedelic surf pop song with a catchy guitar riff/theme and a catchy melody and a smooth but yet a sophisticated dynamite sound production. The song has strong reminiscences of the 60’s Californian surf pop but also share similarities with modern artists such as Ariel Pink and Beach Fossils.

The New Investors is best known for their breezy and psychedelic surf pop. The New Investors released their debut album 'Last One In is a Dreamer' in 2016 and their second album 'In Love With Everyone' in 2018. 

In 2020 The New Investors returned to their original constellation and launched a new beginning with their latest singles `New Beginning´, `Precious Possessions´, `Midnight Horses´ and `Reach´.
