What this song, "The Wanderer" ("Kulkija" in Finnish), is about:

The guy has been for years and years wandering around the world, has been everywhere, feels at home anywhere. Real globetrotter. Then (s)he finally comes back to her/his country of origin and is very surprised to find out that her/his own homeland has so much to offer! Real treasures have all the time been waiting for her/him – at home! And (s)he had thought (s)he had already seen it all!

When her/his longing and homesickness finally lead her/him back to her/his country, (s)he finds these treasures (s)he didn’t know anything about! So, now that (s)he’s back, (s)he promises her/himself to explore her/his whole homeland however much time it will take.
