He is resident of the infamous Berghain club in Berlin and a regular on the inhouse label Ostgut Ton, also he runs his own label called Answer Code Request. The fifty-second guest of KHIDI’s Podcast series is British producer and DJ, Black Merlin- the solo project of George Thompson. His other aliases and collaborations being Spectral Empire, Kommune, and Karamika. Thompson’s diverse releases are featured across labels such as Pinkman, Boysnoize Records, Omnidisc, and Jealous God - just to name a few. With more than a decade under his belt, Thompson has experimented between multiple electronic genres - jungle, drone minimal wave, retrogressive EBM, and hypnotic dark techno as of recent years.

For a few days each summer, deep in the Amsterdamse Bos on the outskirts of Holland’s capital, you’ll find a restless pack of ravers rushing from one stage to the next in pursuit of the freshest new sounds. That’s half thanks to Casper Tielrooij, who swapped the Hague for Amsterdam and started his Dekmantel parties back in 2007. Two years later those became a label and by 2013 a festival. Now in their tenth year, the forest festivities show no signs of slowing momentum, due in part to an exceptional and quality mix of genre-agnostic rhythms. Tielrooij finds creative freedom for his patchwork of influences through Dekmantel Soundsystem: and here they are. Bassiani Podcast 167 is a groovy and undulating exploration in sound recorded live at the club's Dekmantel showcase, one that clicks, klangs and wobbles, a synth-packed and searing-hot mix courtesy of Casper’s covetable record collection.

Elad Magdasi joins for DifferentSound Podcast #227.

Elad Magdasi has long been entrenched in the rave scene, first and foremost, as a dancer. It is precisely this edge which can be felt in the emotional fabric he weaves into his productions.

It is his love for raving that keeps his mojo running whilst bringing inspiration to his life.

After moving from Tel Aviv to Berlin in 2013, Elad evolved and ended up founding his own label - Front Left Records. The label is a collective of friends who dance together and celebrate techno weekly. All the releases come from artists who share the front left corner of the dance floor.

Diversity is the key in Elad’s sets, keeping the old and the new combined and making sure you hear some synthesizers.

With a background in mechanical engineering and electronics, Ben's transition into audio electronics was a natural one, having developed a healthy obsession with machines and the intricacies of sound since his early discovery of hard house and dance music
culture. 

Whilst running new musical imprint 'Severn Electronics' , 7XINS remains heavily involved in London’s dance music scene holding down a residency as a live performer at one of London's most exciting venues, FOLD. With many performances for the now legendary UNFOLD and a recent debut performance at Tresor in Berlin. Ben continues to share rich and complex analogous sounds with a strong sense of depth and immersive atmosphere as his trademark whilst drawing on his earlier musical influences as a child.
