After releasing their cliché-titled debut EP “Growing Pains” in late 2013, Newbury, a three-piece punk rock band from Portland, ME, quickly became a household name in the Maine music scene as “that band who is basically a poor man’s blink-182.” After selling nowhere near half of their records, Newbury set out to play numerous shows around New England throughout 2014, establishing a large fan base of high-schoolers, sweaty guys from other bands, and dads in the process. But, like all true rock and roll icons, Newbury vanished off the face of their deceased local music scene at the end of 2014.

But now Newbury is back with a brand new album that they recorded themselves because they didn’t have enough money to record somewhere nice! Armed with pretty nice gear that THEY WILL NOT LET YOU USE AT SHOWS FOR ANY REASON, new stage banter that will likely go on longer than you want it to, and the same clothes you made fun of the last time you saw them, Newbury is ready to play more okay venues and remind you that do-it-yourself punk rock still exists.
