NCM GUEST MIX 015: CONDRICK

It's a tale as old as time. Beachboy moves to Utah for college, mountains, and snow. The twist? Ryan Condrick developed a serious case of Disco Fever along the way.

We first ran into this former music marketing manager for Skullcandy at Cosmic Crush, DJ Finale Grand's (aka Adam Michael Terry) boogie, funk, and disco weekly at ye olde Tinwell Bar. Over time he seeped into our consciousness like a fine wine, showing up to every gig, overprepared, knowledgeable, and positively egoless. A triple threat before you add his impeccable taste.

Shortly after, Condrick performed at the legendary monsoon-drenched Bunny Hop in 2019, where he ended up playing while standing on a stool to avoid being electrocuted. We all found a new respect for the lengths people will go to power the party that day. Ryan was no exception.

When he's not working on his online record store startup, Condrick can be found DJing weekly guest spots in downtown Salt Lake City or fixing up his home with his partner, Rebekah, and their dog Honey.

Dallas turned SLC transplant Riche BoOm carefully crafts our 9th mix installment.

Riche showed up and dove right into the SLC scene some years ago when helped elevate NCM's Groove Garden parties into bigger, better affairs. He then carried on the outdoor party tradition after we got distracted by something shiny.

At first, we wondered if he was in some kind of witness protection program, but alas... he turned out to be a multi-talented Producer and DJ with a deep-rooted history in the often misunderstood Texas house scene. Just ask him and you'll get loads of stories about the legends we all grew up listening and dancing to. We've even met a few thanks to Riche, and they have their own similar tales of glory.

We're pleased to have him share some of his musical journeys with us in this interview and exclusive mix which includes an original track premiering today.

Serge Dupreez, a founding member of the popular after-hours party SALAD delivers our 10th exclusive guest mix in fine style. The Brussels born Scottish-Afrikaner grew up in the Bay Area before landing in Salt Lake for university. Between marketing school and a passion for house and disco (on vinyl), Serge has been right in the middle of every party crew in the city, helping to set-up and send out the best vibes. You could say he’s our spirit animal for exactly what the SLC needs and is capable of these days.
