Participatory Nature of the Church

Psalm 91 has a reputation, among Christians, of being the 911 psalm that believers turn to when in need of help. A verse by verse study. 

Psalm 91:
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Psalm 91: Secret Place of the Most High

There is a particular sect of Baptist churches and pastors (like Roger Jimenez, Steven Anderson, and Donnie Romero) who teach that "love hates" and that if we love God, we will hate God's enemies. 

They say, for example, 'If you love righteousness, you will hate wickedness. If you love chastity, you will hate adultery, if you love the truth you will hate lies.' While there is a modicum of truth to this (as there is with most false doctrines), hateful pastors take this to an extreme and teach their followers to hate and shun certain classes of sinners that they deem unworthy of God's grace. 

But Romans 5:10 says that we were all God's enemies prior to salvation. “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” 

Jesus also clearly taught that we must love our neighbor as ourself. Mark 12:31: "And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these."

With these and numerous other passages, I refute the false "love-hate" teaching,  based on the King James Bible.

Refuting "Love Hates"

The Bible teaches a post-tribulation / pre-wrath rapture (post-trib / pre-wrath), which means that the Christian church will endure persecution during the Tribulation period as described by Jesus in Matthew 24 and revealed by the opening of the seals in Revelation 6.

Revelation 7 describes the sealing of the 144,000 and the Rapture of the Saints. Revelation 8 describes the opening of the 7th seal which reveals the wrath and trumpet judgments of God.

The dual prophecy of the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet discussed, foreshadowing the Anti-Christ and the image of the Beast.

End-Times eschatology.
