New Darkness Recordings started out in 1997 as a tape label aimed at releasing tapes with experimental electronics and IDM of label founder Kratarknathrak.(Krat) After a few years releases started to come out on CDr and when sales became good NDR releasing their music on CD and on two occassions on vinyl. The label is also operational in the digital domain.

Around 2000 Krat started his harsh techno/ rhytmnic noise project The Peoples Republic of Europe. Though they have also released on other labels like Vendetta Music, Dark.Descent, Indigo and suchlike, NDR is the home label of TPROE.

NDR focussus on harsh teknoid rhythmnic noise, Industrial Hardcore and Doomcore.
