For this 260th Premiere of 2023, we have a track by the Berlin-based musician Serge Geyzel titled ‘Let's Begin With Nothing’ from his forthcoming EP "Airplanes In My Dreams" on the French Electro label based in Lyon headed up by Umwelt (@umwelt-music) and graphic partner Chris Nexus 6 (@chris-nexus-6) : New Flesh Records.

Serge Geyzel - Airplanes In My Dreams EP (incl. Umwelt rmx) [New Flesh // NF29]

Serge Geyzel returns to New Flesh Records to deliver his second outing on the French imprint. Following his digital "You Might Not Like Me EP" in 2021 on NF sublabel Flesh Or Die, the Berlin based music producer goes back on wax with "Airplanes In My Dreams", an intense three tracker of pure cosmic electro, completed with a pounding remix from the label owner himself Umwelt.

A side kicks off with vivid "Let's Begin With Nothing", a dark and deep electro stormer straight for the dancefloor while surreal "Airplanes In My Dreams" coming next turns into alienating yet energetic broken beats mayhem.

Vertiginuous "When Was The Last Time?", on the flipside, signs a harsh and merciless machinery fuelled with untouchable 303 loops before Rave Or Die mastermind Umwelt concludes the EP with a fierce, raw and analog remix of the title track.

This dystopien 12'' offers uncompromizing electro at its finest that you just can't ignore.

SELF starts 2024 with an international affair. Electric Vandalism is the logical result of decentralized networking that has never been dependent on the "pay for play" logic of agenda-setting magazines and platform gatekeepers. On the contrary, we are definitely interested in abolishing it - see the title of "12".

A1) Viikatory starts "03" with Autobahn-pads and an assertive beat, which develops in a straight line in the second drop, giving the bassline extra life. Many people know the newcomer from Minsk from our tape compilation or from her gig at Leipziger Neue Welle.

A2) In "I Need Your Energy", Swedes Luke Eargoggle & Freddy lay a catchy melody over the 808 pattern, which develops a certain Modern Trips quality in combination with the repeating dialog. Luke runs the legendary label Stilleben Records.

A3) The West Coast Dutchman Edo8 is no stranger to Clone, if you know what I mean. With "BreakOne" he aims straight towards Detroit jit in tempo and style. The syncopated, floating bass barely catches its breath between saturated drums. This track will fire up the deviant electro kids at the end of the A-side.

B1) We were able to introduce Olivia, a producer from Krakow, at the first label party at mjut in Leipzig. She regularly releases tracks on the Rotterdam label Pinkman and forms the duo Radiation 30376 with Chino. Her track "Grzybnia" aptly fits perfectly with the interwoven filter movements over the harsh industrial beat.

B2) DJ Unisex brings the pulse down cold with "Conflict Data", makes the subjects despair under vibrating mirrors and nails the claustrophobic groove with a perfect acid line. What is grace?

B3) The Frankfurt Electrodefender has the answer with his forgiving "Cronberg In A Dream": dopamine synth pads point to the funk dancefloor, the white sneakers are ready and the red tracksuit demands robotic moves. After the vandalism, the sun always rises again.

New Flesh Records is delighted to welcome back home Jauzas The Shining (Shipwrec, Transient Force), this time on its NFLTD subdivision. The French wizard makes his seventh appearance on Umwelt’s imprint after successful "Neon" mini LP, "Strange Satellitte", "Bad Cave", "Particle", "0401 EP" and "Blade Runner" releases.
"The End Of The Tunnel" signs a dark and intricate EP delivering a couple of powerful mayhems plus two treasures for pure home listening pleasure.
The A side opens with "Étreinte Furtive", a slow and unhealthy tune that progressively turns into a haunting piece till its vibrating final. "The Art Of Parties" coming next invests dancefloor thanks to modular experiments over precise and hammering drums. To the boundaries between Ultradyne and Dopplereffekt's sororities but with Jauzas’s recognizable signature. Ace!
The flipside lifts off with the title track. Built around a melancholic atmosphere, this introspective cut serves up a cold yet funky weapon perfect to illustrate a dystopian movie, full of eerie vocals and synth minimalisms.
The evanescent EP concludes with "Moody Groove", a 4/4 electro-techno mixture of creative analogue tones and female lyrics.

Jauzas The Shining : The End of the Tunnel - NFLTD06

Disappearer's fourth METAS MOTO solo artist tape showcases a fluidity between electronic sounds and genres, characterised by a deliberate elusiveness. Oscillating between eerie atmospheres and funky beats, the artist constructs an enigmatic sonic landscape, evoking a sense of hiding in the shadows while emitting smoke screens. From electro to techno and breakbeat, the eight-track album titled "Counterfeit" is set for release on March 29th, available on both tape and digital platforms.

Recorded and produced by Johan Skugge, half of Harlem (Veyl, Body Musick), the album originates from Palermo, Italy. Skugge, also recognised for his release on Clan Destine Records from Glasgow, UK, brings his distinct sound to "Counterfeit." With its electrifying compositions, this album promises to captivate audiences with its bold electronic aesthetic.
