About the Festival : 
"Tanz im August" is an annual festival for contemporary dance in Berlin. It was founded in West Berlin in 1988, and is now presented by the Hebbel am Ufer (HAU) theatre company on various stages in Berlin. It presents companies from all over the world with their new choreography, aesthetics and formats, new projects by Berlin artists, collaboration with international guests, and co-production for world and German premieres.

Colors is an incredibly tasteful Youtube show with amazing artists in a somewhat live environment. Its kind-a like MTV unplugged from when I was growing up. I decided to try my hand at doing some remix/edits of some of the performances and quickly realized this could be an on going series....so here is volume one.

As always with my unofficial bootlegs/edits, I offer these up completely for free as a way to show my respect to those who actually own and are the creators of the music. This pounding retro synth-wave track is driven by a relentless modulated bassline, and features a vocal sample from a historic speech from Spiro Agnew, which is just as relevant today as it was when it was delivered during the Vietnam War. Synth and vocal stabs, along with tight percussion, and breaks, help give this track a bouncy synth-pop feel.  Pitch bending leads and string compositions lend to a euphoric atmosphere, with the use of the vocals samples to build to an epic finale.
