비언어적소통 
작가노트:
일반적으로 작곡가과 연주자의 역할은 분리되어있다. 
작곡가가 작곡한 작품을 연주자는 무대에서 연주를 한다. 
하지만 작품 <non-verbal communication>에서는 연주자와 작곡가는 함께 무대에 서서 서로 소통하며 작품을 연주한다. 언어적인 대화 뿐아니라 눈빛, 제스쳐등의 행동을 넘어서 음악을 통해 함께 공감하고 소통한다. 
이러한 소통은 작곡가와 연주자라는 한정적인 두 사람을 넘어 작곡가와 작품을 듣는 관객마져 포용할 수 있으며 이는 곧 비 언어적인 소통이다.

Non-verbal communication 
Artist Note:
In general, the role of the composer and performer are separated.
The performer has playing the works of composers on stage.
However, in this piece <non-verbal communication>, the performer and composer have playing piece and communicate with each other stood on stage together.
They communicate and make empathy together trough music as well as language dialogue, the eyes and over the behaviour of such a gesture.
This communication shall embrace the audience beyond the limiting two of the composer and performer and this can lead to non-verbal communication with composer to audience.

VISTARA For Orchestra(2011 - 2013)
 A few years ago, an American astronomer discovered a curious wave in space. He converted the wave so that people could hear it, and as a result of a change in the wave a er the Big Bang from 40 million years to 100 million years ago, a major third changed to a minor third. I get my musical inspiration for some of my works from this research. Vistara  is a Sanskrit word meaning expansion.


VISTARA For Orchestra(2011 - 2013)
 우주 속 파형을 사람이 들을 수 잇는 소리로 변환해보면 빅뱅 후 40만 년 부터 100만 년간 장 3도에서 단 3도로 서서히 변화하였으며, 빅뱅은 폭발음이 아니라 점차 음울한 외침을 변화라는 고요한 속상임으로 볼 수 있다. 이것을 토대로, 전현석은 VISTARA for Orchestra에서 주기적, 비주기적 파형의 확장, 그리고 그러한 파형의 발전을 통한 음향의 생성에 초점을 맞춘다.
