Challenging the 'stranger next door' mentality

For its episode in the first week of November, BBC Radio 4 invited New Internationalist editor Hazel Healy to appear on its show ‘Moral Maze’. Responding to news of the global population rapidly approaching 7.5 billion people, the show explored population control and asked controversial questions, including ‘is it our moral duty to have fewer children?’

The day after Costa Rica's elections, a leaked audio, recorded by PUSC communications director Gloria San Roman, revealed that the traditional two parties – PUSC and PLN – were ready to collaborate with Fabricio Alvarado, who lacks enough advisers to put together a cabinet. ‘We can provide the experts for him’ San Roman explained in the audio.

Corbyn’s foreign policy is a huge source of his support, especially among younger members who grew up in the ‘war on terror’. However, it’s also his greatest departure from the consensus – not simply within the British state but also the Labour Party, which has often been supportive of destructive foreign military interventions.
