The Chinga Style
John 'The Chinga Style' Park is a New Zealand rap artist (originally of Korean descent) who was raised in West Auckland.

The stronghold of his musical talent is a product of his upbringing. This is due not only to his family members' individual talent as conductors and singers, but also their unanimous support towards his dreams in music. Consequently, endless opportunities  to perform on stage were moulded into a standard part of his life. Such experiences - fuelled with a naturally charismatic persona - formed a vivid guide towards his now undeniably confident and crowd-pleasing stage presence. 

At the age of just 13, 'The Chinga Style' would already be spending his recreational time writing rap verses, and expressing them with neighborhood kids. Such behaviours quickly indicated that despite his young age, he had comfortably found his niche in music. Following this early developed admiration of music (as he turned 16 and was still attending high school), he formed a crew with K.Rick (known as VAK. at the time) to experiment their mixture of musical interests. Subsequently, their passion for the hip-hop genre was distinguished as an inevitable crux to their (still current) musical direction. 

In 2005, the once more casual crew of merely two members boomed into a assembly of (at it's peak) 17 members, and took on the title of 64D. The number is a direct reference to New Zealand's country code and the following letter 'D' is an abbreviation for 'Disciples'. Consisting of a numerous array of talents - such as DJs, Singers, producers, rappers, promoters, composers and even break dancers - 64D was blunt about John 'The Chinga Style' Park's fundamental aim of celebrating hip-hop culture.

The Chinga Style never stopped his drive for advancing his understanding of musical theory, and becoming a proficient player of a respectable list of instruments. The fruit of his commitment is illustrated in his eccentric talent as a music creator amongst almost every imaginable category. His still early career has highlighted his apt ability as a singer, rapper, beat maker, producer, DJ and of course his intrinsic background in drums / keyboard / guitar / bass.

Newko 
The Chinga Style has recently made what is arguably the biggest move of his continually maturing career - which was to change his main stage name to "Newko." This name is generated from the simple but crucial definition of his bi-cultural background (referring to being raised in New Zealand but originally of Korean descent).

The drastic name change is laced with heavy involvement in numerous projects towards completing his new EP album. The most mentionable includes his upcoming single 'Korean Pride' featuring heavy weight rap veteran (currently acting under the group 'Clover' in South Korea) Mr.Tyfoon. On top of this track, Mr.Tyfoon is also confirmed to feature in another track (waiting in Newko's arsenal of singles from the upcoming EP) called 'I AM'. In this track he will be amongst other international and local hip-hop greats, K.Rick, Mr.Sicc, Shogunna and Devolo. 

The involvement of so many accomplished artists and most importantly, Newko's exceptional advancement into becoming an all round musical connoisseur, has accentuated the excitement surrounding his upcoming EP.
