The situation we’re witnessing in Gaza is heartbreaking. While the world watches, over 30,000 innocent Palestinian people, many of whom were children, have been killed and over 70,000 more injured in attacks since October 7th. Homes, neighbourhoods and cities have been destroyed, and most of the population has been displaced and left without food, clean drinking water, electricity and fuel. 

The UK government has continued to allow Israel’s bombardment in the region and chosen not to back consistent calls for a ceasefire, despite the overwhelming majority of the UK public being in favour.

In an effort to raise money for Palestinian aid charities, I’ve reached out to lots of talented artists who have kindly contributed their music to this incredibly important cause. 

Sonically it traverses chugging electronics, proto electro, Italo dance, UK techno and leftfield bass from artists like JD Twitch, Ambien Baby, Lisene, GoodMostlyBad and Azo, all of whom are joining our call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza.

FREE PALESTINE.

All proceeds from the compilation will be split 50/50 between two charities who are working hard to provide support and humanitarian aid in Gaza: Medical Aid Palestine and War Child UK.

Hailing from Santiago, Chile and residing in Milan, Italy, Paula reveals her passion for rhythm through two distinctive cuts. Agua Congas slinks along, driven by a thick bass lick and insistent mallet dyad. Classically dubbed out guitar and vocals air the mix out, while a saw lead slices through, opening it all up. On the flip, Playa Frenesì leaps in with slamming percussion and a bass hook that'll blow your monitors, watch out! Crispy guitar solos rip in, resting for a moment, losing no momentum. Stepping back, Project Pablo was lucky enough to bend the A side stems into a lush stomper. Vocoded harmonies wash over the OG's mallet melody, and the rest just coasts along... Enjoy!

The luxurious venue was busy with some of the most famous, pretty faces in the ecletic world of art. Red linen curtains hung atop the windows, concealing the darkness outside and blurring the lines between night and day. Candles flickered softly upon each table and guests talked in hushed voices and fancy masks. It was a somewhat strange affair, a distinctly erotic mood but with a poignant hint of sadness. Incense burned with a musky warmth and there was a stale scent which hung in the air. The party was alive with wrong'uns. 

Niv Ast is set to release a new EP on London based label Snap, Crackle & Pop - the longstanding party series has become a firm favourite in the capital. The EP features a remix from Mr TC, a fierce talent who has released previously on the likes of Optimo Music, Neubau and Hard Fist.
