In 1976 Muddy Waters said to me, “it’s not what note you play, it’s when you play it.” He got up on stage and played one note for a minute. The crowd went crazy. 

The Club Low Band pulled me out of ten years of sorrow over losing 60% use of my left hand. The belief that I could play was slowly restored. I learned that I could still write songs.

The Tin Horses Band helped me believe that I still had music in me that could be magic. 

The Reptiles played for the pure joy of discovery. Like discovering a hard rock band isn’t going to do well at the cowboy bar.

For ten years the Positronic Croutons played every Friday night for the joy of music. 

Now NONP has opened doors for me to play things I didn’t imagine playing for many years.

Truly my brothers and sisters.
