New Rising Sun is a classic rock and original power trio based out of New Haven, Connecticut. Sal Iacobucci (Guitar/Backing Vocals), John Bartone (Lead Vocals/ Bass) and Joe Fochini (Drums) offer a repertoire of uniquely blended songs from the galvanizing sound effects of Jimi Hendrix to the mesmerizing vocal poetry of Jim Morrison and The Doors. Original compositions compliment the band's wheelhouse of songs and instrumentation. New Rising Sun takes their audience on a captivating musical journey of their interpretation of rock and roll.

Sal Iacobucci - Guitar, Vocals
Sal Iacobucci has been playing guitar since the age of 12. His initial fascination with Elvis Presley when he was in third grade, motivated him to ask for his first guitar. By the age of 17 Sal was playing in local music clubs. His love of the British blues fueled his fire to pursue the electric guitar styles of Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and Robin Trower. Sal has done recording sessions in Austin, Texas, and has recorded a tribute album named Songs for a Dreamer in 2009, which is a tribute to the British musician/guitarist Robin Trower. Sal has played in a Jimi Hendrix tribute band and various musical projects in the Northeast.

Joe Fochini - Drums
Joe Fochini has been playing drums nearly 50 years. His impeccable timing and thunderous chops has earned him a reputation for being a stand out drummer. His musicality is heavily influenced by the likes of John Bonham, Ian Paice and Mitch Mitchell. Joe's long standing musical partnership with John Bartone has created a tight rhythmic force that defines the sound of New Rising Sun.

John Bartone - Bass, Lead Vocals
A seasoned musician and vocalist from the Connecticut shoreline, John Bartone began playing drums at the age of 10 before developing a passion for the electric guitar. For over 30 years, Johnny B. has played both the bass and electric guitar  for notable bands such as Red House and Shades at venues including the legendary Toad’s Place in New Haven, CT.  Distinguished with perfect pitch, his lead vocals and unique approach to cover songs from The Doors and Led Zeppelin to the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix demonstrate a formidable background in the genre of rock. Johnny B’s original songs have been featured on WLPR/99.1, New Haven, CT and WIOX/91.3, Roxbury, NY. His magnetism and stage presence are engaging and unwavering.
