Sardinian producer Carlo Whale returns to New Tab with ‘Dusk’, a powerfully cinematic four-tracker that fuses his stripped, melodic style with dark and hopeful dreamscapes.

Built around a darkly oscillating and pulsating beat, the yearning vocals on ‘Dusk’ speak of the first glimmer of light on a road long and dark. Incandescent pads pierce through the enigmatic gloom in rays of analog warmth on a quaking substructure of bass-heavy machinery. 

Bright and commanding, ‘Aura’ transforms a deeply melodic arpeggio into an evolving mantra that draws the listener into a disintegrating spiral of brooding stabs and fluttering granular atmospheres. 

‘Reverie’ infuses Carlo’s evocative sound with cinematic qualities. Massive in sound and artfully subtle in progression, ‘Reverie’ unleashes salvos of driven stabs atop a sea of delicately evolving blips, quivering sweeps, and shimmering pads. 

‘Eunoia’ invokes vast dreamscapes with angelic vocal chops and glittering, washed-out bells. An overdriven synth unleashes a profound sense of monumentality and wonder in an auditory journey through an unexplored universe.
