K.E.E.N.E & Gonzo-Gonzo join forces for Cacao’s second release, a power-tech EP under the Cacao Trio moniker. The mystic title From La Ceiba To Leon points to a real-life cross continent journey that was quintessential for the artists’ inspiration, leading to the creation of this EP which perfectly embodies the auditive ethos of the label. Starting off with a laid back melody with tribal accents, the eponymous track makes for a driving tech house hybrid channeling on chopped up vocals and spacious synth waves. Tears & Rum dives into deep techno realm with a menacing synth line, complemented by thumping percussive stabs, dark vocals and eerie sound bites. On the flip, the Tears & Rum Warehouse mix extends the cavernous atmosphere with moody subs and metallic riffs. Prolific German producer and man of many projects Tigerskin transforms From La Ceiba To Leon into a dreamy tech house exploration. Anchoring on the exotic percussion, the rework presents itself as the most mellow of the entire bunch while still retaining dancefloor zing.

Talented Spanish duo Joe Red & Chris Main join forces with for the latest offering from New Violence. Having appeared on the likes of Toolroom, Deeperfect, 303 Lovers & Kinetika, the duo land at New Violence with this solid EP aimed firmly at the dancefloor.

We start with the title track, Panoramic Visions, a chugging, grooving monster with druggy vocals and insistent synth stabs. Rising to an almighty break the vocal urges you to "think about it". But you don't really need to think too hard about this one, its going to be big!

Who Else makes his remix debut for New Violence having previously graced labels such as Defected, Knee Deep In Sound, Mr Carter, Material & Toolroom. The Argentinian wastes little time in using the vocal to whip up his own more atmospheric take on the original. Big drums and a bumping bassline keep this one grooving.

Next up is Quality Goods and it's as good as it's word as we are treated to a heads down, grooving workout. Deep bass and and constantly changing percussion hits mix with a breathy vocal asking you to "just be yourself". A definite winner.

Finally we have man of the moment Luca M on remix duties for Quality Goods. One of the most consistent Tech House producers around he's appeared on Toolroom, Knee Deep In Sound, Material & NONSTOP amongst many others. Here he picks up the tempo and takes the track into more driving tech territory, focussing more on the fierce drums and sparse percussion. One for the heads.

Christian Smith releases his third solo album titled “Input-Output” on his own Tronic imprint. Consisting of 11 original tracks, each one embodies Christians message of creating “real” techno, with powerful percussions and melodic basslines throughout.
A more than fitting entrance, ‘Destination Unknown’ provides the listener with a masterfully constructed synth melody perfectly complimented by a haunting vocal sample that is certain to sound out across the world’s dance floors. Fusing together sounds from a number of sub-genres, Christian’s minimal masterpiece ‘Explanation’ is sure to be a favourite for those who prefer a lighter shade of techno, whereas ‘Input/Output’s’ fierce kick drums are reminiscent of his stellar releases on Adam Beyer’s Drumcode. 
‘Input/Output’ is an impeccable offering from one of techno’s most talismanic figures holding within it a different blend of sounds to suit everyone’s musical palate. Each production wonderfully weaves in and out of one another yet never straying too far away from the trademark Christian Smith sound. ‘Air Castle’s’ electro esque synthesizers flutter throughout yet listeners are treated to contrasting sounds from ‘Release (Stringz)’ dark and atmospheric harmonies.
Christian’s remarkable ability to conjure varying sounds from an array of different influences is unique to say the least. A talent that eludes many within his field, it is this exact trait that has elevated Christian to mesmeric heights and in turn making him one of the most sought after acts in house and techno.
Staying completely humble in his approach to each and every project that he embarks on, ‘Input/Output’ is set to further reiterate Christian’s unquestionable stature as one of underground music’s most influential characters.
